We ordered off the Easter weekend menu, we’re regulars so anytime you guys add/rotate items or have specials we get excited! These absolutely hit. The scallop risotto I’d expect from a Michelin star restaurant in Chicago, it was delicious. Bang bang shrimp were also bright explosive flavors, a joy to eat. The star for my wife was the cheesecake, lemonade lavender and blueberry? Exceptional. Our waitress took great care of us, great experience once again. Thank you, we’re so glad to have a kitchen trying things and pushing out excellent, exciting dishes here in cedar falls.

When visiting this time we were placed not far from the bar. I will give some credit, it was very busy. This is probably our third or fourth dine. Most of the time we come with more people. We sat for at least 15 minutes before we could even be given water or acknowledgment. The tables sat after us, larger groups, immediately got service. The hostess even poured water for the larger groups, that was a little dissatisfying. Our server came from across the restaurant and apologized, I do not think she was even working the table we sat at. She was very nice and took great care of us.The menu has seemed to have change and there are less options from what I remember. Ordering a $40 filet you would think the side included (salad) would come out with the meal, or ask. It came out with appetizer.. and then the steak came out by itself. Perfectly cooked I will say, but cut in half and ice cold. My husband had their George’s burger and said it was good. Truffle fries were incredibly good and perfectly seasoned.

Amazing place to eat in downtown cedar falls. They have a wonderful burger. I got the chicken sandwich east and loved it. The fries are excellent. The staff is very friendly. Lots of parking on nearby streets. The patio is probably the nicest in Cedar Falls. Lots of beer options. We got the goat cheese appetizer, and the cheese curds and both were excellent. The chicken melt sandwich was delicious. All the burger options are tasty. Great place for a nice night out if you’re in town.

Food was alright, nothing special. We had the fish and chips and a chicken sandwich, and a drink with both. For $55+tip was hoping for a little better. I'd go back if it was cheaper but I don't know at the current prices.

Well, it seems to be a very nice place, clean and the staff are friendly. The space is a little tight, and it's hard to hold a close conversation due to all the noise from rowdy patrons. Our wait staff was limited, we only saw him three or four times, he didn't ask to refill drinks, and never delivered our food, someone else did. The food was Midwest mediocre; pretty bland and overcooked. All the breading fell off the bang bang shrimp, and the fish and chips was quite dry and flavorless. The miso fish was tasty according to my partner. For the amount of people coming in, it's pretty apparent it's a hot spot for locals to hang and have a home cooked meal.

Our second visit to George’s Local did not disappoint! Their service and food are superb! Valentine’s Day is stressful for almost all food establishments and they knocked it out of the park! Well done kitchen staff! We will be back!

This place is top tier. Easily the best biscuits and gravy ever along with the best steak and eggs. No other breakfast place in the Cedar Valley comes close to George's.

I've eaten here twice, and have enjoyed the lunch options. The food is good, service is attentive, and the environment is clean and has a new feel to it. The music is louder than a typical restaurant, and I was able to notice adult themes and curse words in the songs, which may limit who I dine here with. A good option for dining alone and I've received fast service during the lunch hour.Kid-friendliness: This is not a kid friendly environment.

Lovely dinner option! Service was perfect. Atmosphere was inviting and we loved the music! The Beast Burger was our favorite, closely followed by the tasty Brussel Sprouts. We'd suggest some sort of a sauce or a moistened meat in the beef tacos, plus a new salsa recipe. We'll be back!

The service was really good. Christina was attentive and took really good care of us. The Mac n cheese could have been cooked a little more, but the smash potatoes were so good! I ordered a medium rare and it was more on the medium side. Although it is a gorgeous restaurant, it is so cold that I felt like I was racing nature to get my food down before it went cold. We got 12 oz new york strips and the meat was really good, just slightly overcooked. The tuna tots are a whole different story, the tuna was good, although not cut super pristinely. The rice tot thing was so hard my fork barely wanted to go into it. It looked super interesting, but honestly not worth the money to even try, it’s not a very well thought out dish for how well put together it looks visually.

I visited while on a work trip and during a blizzard! I was seated during brunch but was able to order lunch. The couscous salad was topped with fresh arugula. I added shrimp for more protein. The flavors of the dish were great! The hot tea came in an antique tea cup that I couldn’t stop gushing over! The atmosphere was nice and the music was on point! I was happy they were open despite the weather. If you’re looking for flavorful food I’d highly recommend visiting George’s Local!
