Dry and blandFor a place that markets itself as a high end “fine dining” experience this was very mid. Our server was all over the place and seemed very high strung and stressed/overwhelmed through out the dinner which created a less than relaxing atmosphere. I ended up playing my own music on my phone just to feel better. The goat cheese was ok.. could use a balsamic drizzle or olive oil or just something a lil *extra* in my opinion.I ordered the blackberry salmon with couscous. The salmon was cooked perfectly and delicious with the blackberry sauce however it was placed upon some dry bland tasted like it was prepared with a box from the dollar store couscous which unfortunately couldn’t get a bite of the delicious salmon with out it. Try adding some of your goat cheese and cream to that couscous and lmk how it changes the meal significantly.I ordered a side of mixed vegetables and those also left something to be desired with a bland flavor hardly seasoned and seemed to be prepared hours earlier. Did not taste freshly roasted whatsoever. Not impressed. Not sure if this was just an off-night for this place because they appeared to have many awards displayed on the wall and all around decent reviews.Unfortunately it was not a great experience and I would like to see better from a place with such a high price point. Also the bathrooms had no hot water.

Good food but kind of pricey. Service was friendly and helpful. Parking sometimes isn't the most convenient

The New York strip was devine! No one in their right mind should ask for steak sauce here because the meat is cooked and seasoned to perfection. Best steak I’ve ever eaten! The crème brûlée was done beautifully and the crisp crunch and creamy custard you’d come to expect. First time here and VERY impressed.

Our first time at Montage was pretty good. 3 out of 4 drinks were excellent. Both apps were very tasty and reasonably priced. We had the 8 oz filet with mushrooms and the goat cheese risotto, and the harissa lamb Shank with curry whipped sweet potato and a side of the Asian slaw. All our food was seasoned and cooked as ordered and very flavorful. After paying over $200+ for our dinner, I was very shocked that our server didn't even say thank you. Just said sign the top copy.

A staple in Cedar Falls!! Always great food and service! Great selection in wine if you are into that. Tuna appetizer is my favorite! 4 stars due to not great seating options. Was placed upstairs in a small room.

This place was over priced and extremely underwhelming. I normally finish my plate, but I left most of it. It was the worst I've ever had.

Ten years ago I lived in the area and frequently visited Montage. Often, when I returned to the area I would dine at the restaurant and enjoy my favorite dish, raspberry chipotle. I recently returned and found the restaurant was under new management and the menu no longer included my favorite dish. The ambiance was similar, the service was okay even though the server spilled the soup onto the table. The mushroom appetizer missed the mark. Baking them with cheese and a little butter left them dry and unsatisfying. The soup was warm but not hot. The zuppa was tasty though. The dishes we ordered were boarder line poor. I had the fireworks pasta with chicken and spinach fettuccine. I like very spicy food and found the dish had heat. It lacked flavor though. Another dish I tried was the blackberry salmon. The seeds from the berries were annoying and the salmon was over cooked and dry. The glasses for mixed drinks were aesthetically interesting but took time to get use to due to the offset rim. The first few times I put the glass down I felt like I was going to spill the drink due to the design. We did not order desert. For a person that fasts and enjoys one meal a day, I feel I could have been more satisfied elsewhere. Sadly, Montage has lost some luster since its peak.

"Special" of the night lamb gnocchi. Not good. Cold. Had the waiter take it away, barely touched, and they still insisted on charging me the full price ($36).

Delicious food, nice ambiance, great wine selection and good service! The only minor complaint is that there was a little bit of char on the veggies and desserts. Best flavor of sauces and foods otherwise that I've had in the area!Vegetarian options: Veggies and pasta, salads

I’m may be biased because I used to work there but I love this place. In the cedar valley it is hands down one of the best places to eat. Everyone is trained thoroughly and knowledgeable about the food, the ambience is upscale but there’s more comfy and casual seating as well. The food is top quality and the chefs are constantly working to create delicious seasonal items. As for the regular menu some of my favorites include the Texas Brisket Tacos, the Blackberry Salmon, and the Fireworks pasta. Add in a goat cheese torta, the sweet and spicy bacon as in appetizer as well as a chocolate soufflé or creme brûlée if you want to treat yourself! They go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and love to celebrate special occasions. Great food, great staff, great owners.Vegetarian options: Very accommodating to dietary restrictions and allergies. Vigilant about checking ingredients for vegan items as well.Kid-friendliness: This is a family friendly establishment that goes out of its way to make kids feel welcome whether it is by allowing them to make their own pizza or providing wiki stix to play with.

I’m a local resident and this is the nice restaurant we choose for special occasions. Menu is curated, ALL food is so flavorful, staff is friendly and helpful, and the patio dining experience is amazing. Perfect for girls night, date night, business dinner, and even occasional family dinner-they made Shirley Temple’s for my children! (Wouldn’t recommend taking toddlers though, because it is a quiet calm atmosphere) Don’t expect staff to be knowledgeable about the extensive wine menu.
