Pancheros Mexican Grill - Cedar Falls

Absolutely terrible customer service! The manager was the worst of all the employees. Hard to have good employees when this manager is setting the example. I Will never return! 6/30/25 12:15pm

My wife and I have been there twice in the past few months, and both times we have been treated incredibly poorly by the person we assume was the manager, bald man wearing a Pancheros polo shirt. He speaks to customers very disrespectfully. We were two of maybe 4 people in line, and he spoke and behaved like our presence in the store was a personal inconvenience to him. We won’t be back anytime soon.

This is always good to eat and usually fairly clean. The bathrooms could use some more attention, but besides that it is one of my kids' favorite places to eat.

Horrible.

Bad service, like other reviews mention, when you walk it it pisses them off you are there.

The food is clearly not rotated anywhere near standard of their other locations I’ve frequented and loved.

Lastly it’s treated like a hangout for the crew, more worried about what their friends are doing they have come in and hangout and eat than anything else.

Sad to see a Pancheros ran like this.

Holy slow. Employees seemed upset that we were here. I don’t want to see your workers underwear when they are making my food. Employees leaning around while guests are waiting. Terrible I’ll be driving to Waterloo from now on.

Dirty. Food cold. Employees refused to give extra meat because they were at the bottom of the pan.

How has this Pancheros location not been shutdown yet?

Worst pancheros I've had. No meat, all rice. No mixing. I understand hiring is hard but lost a customer here

Don’t like to pile on but this place is a health hazard. Stopped in to get some Pancheros and I don’t know if I’ll stop at one again. The glass in front of the food was super dirty and looked to have been that way for days. The service was okay but not friendly. Food was good but not what I paid for it good. Storage room was wide open with all kind of junk just sitting there. Tables didn’t look clean, floor was dirty, and I’m not sure when the last solid deep clean was done. Don’t think I’ll be back for a visit.

DIRTY location. Did not receive the correct order. Out of EVERYTHING, including pop and fillings for burrito. All I received was a burrito with steak and rice DRY af, I ordered a burrito with fajita veggies, jalapeños, sour cream, and guacamole btw. Employee working with a bonnet on. One employee admitted this place “is ghetto”. Manager definitely is not sober. STORE OWNER or WHO EVER LOOKS AT THESE REVIEWS, please do not bother with an “empathetic” reply to this comment; please see your previous “empathetic” comments to the many one star reviews. I have already emailed the applicable individuals. I paid $31 for TWO tortillas with steak and rice. That’s crazy. Not demure, not mindful, not considerate.

we have been here several times but today was the worst experience and I think I’ll stick to the waterloo location. I can’t remember ever pointing out how dirty an establishments doors, windows or sneeze guard are but the doors were so dirty the glass looked foggy. the only employee helping customers was friendly but overshared, and they were out of several popular ingredients and we were willing to wait for them to be made but they clearly weren’t interested in cooking. this location honestly needs either more staff or a different mindset or based on the other similar reviews it will continue to lose business. witnessed probably 10 people walk out during the short time we were there, and I wish we had too. I don’t like leaving bad reviews but this was less than ideal.
