Aug.15.2004 Having been there over the lunch hour..was enjoying our meal until employee Lisa came over and accused me of " taking out chicken".. and chocolate cookie. let me tell you I have never been threatened like that as I am 75 yrs old. She was just an employee who should have went to her manager IF she thought that not come to table all nasty and threatened to bar us if ever did it again. Gentleman 6 tables back heard her and shook his head and told us unbelievable. We were taking home BONES to the stray cats. Manager said later it was fine to takes bones home to cats. The lady bussing tables gave false information. Hats off to the acting manager for coming out to talk to us as she saw me EAT the chocolate cookie as she was talking to us! Also to Jake..think that was his name. upon leaving saw LISA again and told her we didn't steal the chicken or cookie! I talked in soft voice when talking to her..she started yelling " don't yell at me"..to the acting manager run the camera which points up front and see for yourself how again she was nasty. I will continue to visit your restaurant as have been there many of times..just won't deal with LISA..ill turn around and walk out if I see her working the register..Thank you to the staff who continues to be polite. Very Messy, unorganized, but good prizes

Well.... it DEFINITELY isn't anything to write home about!! First & last visit!!

normally love pizza ranch as a quick buffet, yesterday was not the case! NEVER has I seen it soooo bad.. noone knew what was supposed to be happening.. there was no food on the buffet and if food showed up there was no plates or silverware.. for the increased prices was very disappointing to see poor quality. After about a half hour wait we finally gave up hopes of getting something to eat.. so paid for flat no ice soda 😒 I do not know what has happened to staffing there but when asking for a manager, noone ever came... we left unsatisfied

They couldn’t keep up with the chicken and everyone waiting on it. It is like they need to buy another deep fat fryer and poor service with picking up dirty dishes….

The restaurant was filthy. We arrived at 7:45 pm on a Saturday night. The restaurant is open until 9pm. The tables were full of dirty dishes. The floors were full of food and dirty napkins. Employees were standing around not attempting to clean anything up. We had to ask them to refill items on the buffet. We mentioned that their outside lighting was not on. They never did turn it on. We paid over $19 each and they never did refill some items on the buffet. If they don't intend to have all foods available they need to discount the price. Would not recommend. We have eaten at other Pizza Ranch restaurants and have never seen one in this condition.

I visited this Pizza Ranch Sunday 08/07/23. They were eager to take my money, rushing people thru the pay line. Finding a clean table was nearly impossible. I went to the salad bar, only to find they had no clean forks or spoons. I asked if they had plastic silverware, since they do catering. They did not have that either. Upon asking, they said they would have some in a couple minutes. People standing around said, "they have been saying that for the last 10 minutes". I next tried the pizza. It was not labeled and was very basic. I have had better looking frozen pizzas at home. I asked someone to make me a Buffalo Chicken pizza 3 times. Never did get one. They wanted me to wait in the pay line again to order it. Doesn't make any sense to me. I next wanted chicken. Much to my disbelief the chicken was empty. I had to wait and watch for them to bring out more chicken. When they did, 15 other people were waiting as well. The pop machine was a mess, ice piled up, some selections were out of syrup. The buffet line itself looked like it was the battleground for a food fight. I never once did see someone come out and wipe things up and make it look presentable. Ice cream on the floor. Maybe my worst experience eating out period. I have been to Pizza Ranch in Eldora, Iowa. I will say they run a very tight ship there. Things are alway top notch. Management might want to take a trip to that location and take some notes. Hire some motivated employees. Pay them a wage that is decent. Set high standards. Someone needs to oversee that things are being done properly. I am sure the kitchen was "frightful". I will never be back to this location, EVER. I will be contacting the Corporate Headquarters in Orange City, Iowa. They need to know this.

I don't normally leave a bed review I just don't go back after about the 2nd or 3rd time it is bad. Broken ice machine hit pop, the food bar was a mess I went in and could find a clean table I semi wiped one down and set at it. I was there a half an hour and no one cleaned 1 table out front. I had older couple walk in and couldn't find a clean table either they walked out don't know if they even asked for there money back. Kids running all over the place getting chips with their hands etc. Like I said normally I don't complain I just don't go back but this was terrible 2 people working on the ice machine 1 running the cash register another one standing and watching. This was the worst pizza ranch I have ever visited this was the 3rd and last time at this location. Sorry

The kitchen help dismantled the ice cream machine and took away all dessert pies 45 -50 minutes prior to their closing time. There was still alot of customers dining. The hour wait on chicken was to be expected. The people clearing the tables were spot on and friendly. The Host at cashier counter was also friendly up arrival. Kitchen could do better. (Don't tear down long before closing)

Chicken was not filled. Neither ice machine working properly. Ice cream machine busted. Desserts were overdone. Chicken was not crispy at all. Dirty floors and tables

My family and I were there today around 930am after church and there was maybe 6 people in the restaurant and after paying I asked for milk and was told they have none my husband then asked for juice and they had none and then we went over the pop machine out of Diet Coke and then grab some pizza cold and it was not fresh they kept bringing out more chicken and no breakfast food they had bacon but no sausage and bacon was burnt cheese sticks were also cold and I then tried the biscuits and gravy cold but warm enough to put over my pizza to give it some flavor and a little heat we then completed our meal that was not worth the 16.00 we paid for it thank god we had gift cards and it was not our money to get some desert pizza to find out there was no ice cream I did not speak to the lady working cause it may not of been her fault and the hour that we sat there one couple came in please have the items that are needed to provide a family buffet meal or don’t serve at that time first time we were there we have mail and juice and food was hot no issues now coming back again it has failed and needs some work thanks

No pizza. No dressing. No chicken. After 15 min a pizza came out, but so many people were waiting it was a mad rush to get some. This was the case with the chicken as well. No dessert pizza. Ice cream machine was horrendous. No ice in the pop machine. It was pure chaos. There was a sign stating that they were understaffed, but this was insane. If you can’t accommodate the people paying to eat, you either need to limit the # or close for the evening. This was at 6pm on 2/19/23.

You can't upgrade the meal deal to a large pizza so I bought both. LOOK at that large pizza. They should be embarrassed. They took pizza from the buffet to "put together" a large pizza??? Influenza A is going around right now. Over $60 and this is the crap they serve!!

Very nice and clean

Arrived at 5:30 and were told they would be closing at 6PM!!! Told us that the food in the buffet would not be refilled. There was a couple who were finished and leaving behind us as we were going out the door. They were part of a party and said the desserts weren’t put out and that another party was coming in soon. So what happened here??? Did management not plan on enough food??? Were they closing to the public in order to accommodate the next party??? We won’t be going back here again!!!!!
