A few years ago I would have given a five star review; however, it seems as if over the last year or two the quality has just gone downhill. All around. The last four to five experiences whether in the restaurant, at the grill, or carry out (hmm awful phone service? Rude? Missed things in my order?) it just does not live up to what it used to be anymore. I keep trying just thinking they’re having a bad night. Last night I was so disappointed the food went straight to the trash. The chicken and shrimp were rubbery and cold and the sushi was an absolute disappointment. I know you won’t miss my business and I won’t miss yours either. Sad, this used to be my favorite place.

Great place to go for hibachi. Food is very delicious and cooked well. Environment is friendly and service it pretty good. Only issue is that the menu can be kind of confusing when you are trying to order from online. A suggestion would be to have a more descriptive menu option of what a 'dinner' item would be instead of having to sift through all of the hibachi dinner options.

I ordered a filet and shrimp tepenaki meal to go. It was great the person I ordered with asked was that with fried rice. Of course I just say say yes, was not thrilled that was an additional charge without being told but regardless it was delicious. When I walked in wanting to order to go they hand me a menu. There was no sushi on it. Apparently I was not given the menu with sushi in it once I questioned why they were serving sushi. Unsure why. My wait was twenty minutes I was told and it took them exactly 20 minutes I love a good dependable time! Overall I wish I could have ordered some sushi but everything else was great.

My boyfriend and I called to see if we had to do reservations. A woman answered and said “no it’s first come first serve”. Which is understandable but just to make sure we asked even if it’s for hibachi. She get really annoyed with us said “FIRST COME FIRST SERVE” and hung up on us. Safe to say we aren’t going. I understand that it might be hard during Valentine’s Day but we were genuinely asking because every place is different. I think they should make sure the person who is answering calls is not like this.

Slow/terrible service despite there being plenty of staff standing around. We waited 10 minutes just for a waitress to do a drive by with waters without even stopping. I'm pretty sure we had 3 different servers and none of them spoke above a whisper. I also had to ask for part of my meal that wasn't delivered.

Used to love Sakura, but got it on my birthday and then had the worst food poisoning of my life. It sucks because this used to be my sushi place but I cannot go back after being that sick. Proceed with caution.

Crazy to think one of our favorite places for sushi is in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Gotta try the Crunchy Roll and the Allie Roll; our favorites. Along with hot sake, of course.
Sakura used to be amazing. Im not sure what changed but the food was cold by the time we got it, the chicken was overcooked and dry. The waitress came to our table once after she took our initial order, we had to ask other waitresses to bring stuff that our waitress never did (glass of water, yum yum sauce, teriyaki). I ordered a california roll and received our food ate, waited twenty minutes for a box and still have yet to receive the california roll.

Very disappointed. Went there for a birthday dinner party of 4. Sat in waiting area for 30 minutes for our name to be called and never moved. Finally went to hostess to inquire and they said our name had already been called while we were sitting there and we would have to put our name on the list again. Extremely unprofessional.
Best place to get sushi in the cedar valley.
