In the beginning with the first shop, I loved their cupcakes.
It stayed this way for a few years.
Nowadays, things have changed, and I don't think it's my taste buds; it's about their recipe changes or something...
Scratch is not the same, and when you stack on top the price, it's just not worth it anymore.

Just tried one for the hundredth time and I realized that the past "hundred" haven't been so hype; I'd just go because it's the only dedicated cupcakery around here.

Top notch customer service. Older women waited on us. She was so welcoming and friendly. She offered us samples of cookie dough to try and gave us all mini chocolate chip cookies. We got a variety of cupcakes, chocolate chip cookies and the kids got scoops of cookie dough, all were amazing and loaded with flavor. Super clean cute store as well. Can't say enough good things about this place.

If you have any type of food allergy, would not recommend. When ordering ahead cupcakes for a party, I made It VERY clear and the lady made note, do NOT mix ones with nuts with the ones without nuts. Those who made and packaged the cupcakes? Did the exact opposite saying they forgot. It was written, highlighted, and underlined by the worker who took the order stating allergies. The worker who packed everything apologized and simply moved the ones with nuts to the other box asking if that was fine. Stated we didn’t really have a choice thanks to cross contamination and those with nut allergens (myself included) just wouldn’t be able to eat them. Lady said “Oh, didn’t think about that. I’m sorry”. No refund, nothing. While they were super nice and everyone said the cupcakes tasted great, I’d expect more care with clearly stated allergens on an order that was done 2 weeks ahead of time to prepare for. Myself and others were pretty disappointed.

Love this place! The people working are always so nice and helpful. I have never had a bad cupcake. I live in Colorado and every time I am in Cedar Falls I always stop to get some cupcakes for my co-workers. I have never received a bad word from my co-workers. At this point they almost expect it when they know I have gone on vacation to Iowa.
