I hadn't been in this building in 50 years when it was a Howard Johnsons. The food was excellent and so was the service. The prices are great, especially given the portion sizes. Will definitely be back.

Good service, short wait for food. But it wasn't the best breakfast I have ever had and didn't seem like the food was made fresh. And out toast was burnt.

Mother's Day Monday 2024 - we lucked out and spotted 16th Ave Grill on our way through Cedar Rapids heading back to Minnesota!! Fantastic server, fantastic owner/cook of the day! Wonderful breakfast - generous portions and super tasty - we wanted a hearty breakfast and coffee to begin our journey home - 16th Avenue Grill surpassed our expectations - HIGHLY RECOMMEND stopping and seeing for yourself !!!

My friend and I enjoyed breakfast together today...me for a first time experience. My Eggs Benedict with American Fries was tasty and filled the plate, and our waitress very friendly. Even the owner went from table to table making sure customers were happy. This sweet, cozy diner has a well- rounded menu. And you will be made to feel like you are home! Thanks! I'll be back!

Food is kinda mediocre, service is always friendly and prompt, atmosphere is dated and smells like my grandparents house, but its cozy.
