“after finding me in the dumpster, instead of being afraid or warning me off the manager actually asked me if I needed something to eat. I was treated to an ever bowl and it was amazing. absolutely delicious. being a vegetarian, and not a very good one I don't really get nutrition like I should. Both workers were absolutely amazing, cheerful and had a wonderful attitude towards their fellow human being. I recommend this place greatly. thank you so much for the new food experience.”

“When visiting from out of town this was the first cafe that popped up and it did not disappoint. The latte was very well made and their iced vanilla latte was also really good and the service was really great. The baristas are very good at their job. The cost is about what you'd expect from a coffee shop and for a small latte and an iced vanilla latte it was about $9 before tip. It is a cute little shop and would suggest it any day. I will definitely be back.”

“Our server Kale was excellent. Very thorough and attentive. We each tried something different. I had the Cobb salad with Chicken. It had unique corn bread crouton, cranberries, diced sweet potatoes, yummy fresh crumbles bacon bits. The sweet potato were the only part of my meal I was not a fan of. We all tried the salmon Cajun soup. It was good the salmon melted in your mouth. The Class Act burger my son said was easily the best burger he has had. My son's girlfriend had the Iowa omelet and she said it was yummy. My husband had the corn beef hash he said it was a great from scratch hash.”

“Tim, Adam, and Up In Smoke catered our church choir retreat lunch. Delicious pulled pork sandwiches, baked beans, and cheese potatoes. People went back for seconds and thirds. Great food and plenty for all. Thanks guys!”

“In town for a conference and did a Google search for restaurants close by and came across O’s Grill. I love Gyros so figured I would stop in. Instantly greeted when I walked through the door. Menu is simple and included pictures (for those that weren’t sure what they were ordering). I ordered the classic gyro box meal. The classic gyro and I ordered the falafel and hummus and pitas. They brought it to me. The appearance looked amazing. I tried the pita and hummus first and wow!! Absolutely delicious! I’ve only tried falafel one other time and it was delicious with the sauce! The gyro was top of the line! The siracha sauce gave it just enough zing! I have already told my friends about this place and wished it was closer to Waverly so I could frequent more often. Added plus.. the owner came out to make sure my food was ok and if I needed anything else. Always love when the owners make contact with the patrons!! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!!”

“Went to Lucky's for breakfast with my family. I had the Villa with their French toast special (red velvet with a sweet cream cheese filling). The French toast was so delicious I didn't need syrup with it, my over easy eggs were perfect, the sausage links are huge and we got four to an order. My son had the mini waffles and they are decent price and excellent quality. We topped it off with coffee that our server Mika kept full and checked on us often. We will definitely have to go back and try other things on the breakfast menu.”

“I was very impressed with the food quality. Chips and salsa are very simple and often provided at no cost at most Mexican restaurants. This was the best salsa I’ve ever had. I highly recommend the food for its quality and taste.”

“Omg it was soooo good!!! It's a small menu with basically just pizza but that's all you need! The garlic cheese bread (a little surprised that it wasn't bready...more like a really thin pizza) was amazingly garlicky and cheesy! My husband and I both got different individual pizzas and both absolutely loved ours! If we lived closer we would come here all the time! It was definitely our best meal in our 6 state road trip thus far!”

“WOW. We had such a great experience at Lacayo. First, THIS IS NOT ANOTHER MEXICAN RESTAURANT. This is Latin American cuisine and it’s one of the best places in Cedar Rapids. Everything is so flavorful, it’s all made in house (even the tortillas), and the service is wonderful. We had a meal with friends and enjoyed it so much, we went back for brunch the next day. Looking for a brunch spot that doesn’t just offer the same standard breakfast items but packs tons of flavor? This is your place. You have to get the tamale. The sauce is out of this world. Will be returning and bringing friends and family to share in the experience. This place is a must if you’re going to be dining out in Cedar Rapids.”

“I had an exceptionally excellent meal last night! Texas Roadhouse is ALWAYS great, but my server went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs and wishes. As a person following a gluten free predominantly keto diet, it’s not always easy! She gave me salad without croutons, I had the 16 oz ribeye medium rare, and loaded broccoli. Yes folks, broccoli with butter, sour cream, cheese and bacon, and when I asked for it on a plate instead of a small bowl, and explained why, (better cheese melt), she said heck yes and got ‘er done. Now I know this isn’t every one’s cup of tea, but it sure made my night, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t try it herself next time… signed, Potatoes Not Necessary!”

“Have had takeout several times now. Consistently excellent food, candidate for the best Chinese in town. Good prices, good serving size, good variety. Many fresh ingredients and super friendly staff.Hopefully they can add their own delivery soon. I refuse to use door dash et al. thankfully it's just a 5 minute drive from home and absolutely worth it.As of Feb 2024 there is no regular dine-in, but I doubt they would mind if you sat down to eat as they keep clean tables and chairs set up.”

“Had my bachelorette party at one of the shows, it was a blast! The actors were great and hilarious. The food was amazing!! I thought it was so fun to take notes of everything and go around to different tables to interview people. Or having people come interview our table. The show was very well done and I had an amazing time!! Couldn’t recommend it enough!”

“Every year I take my daughter to dinner on Valentine's Day. This year we chose Midtown Reserve for our date. The atmosphere was great. Our server (Megan) was exceptional. Our food (NY Strip and Crab Cakes) was amazing and very well-prepared and well-presented. I believe the prices were also appropriate.”

“Huge seating area throughout the 3 dining areas, the bar and the outside patio. The decor is phenomenal and one of a kind. The staff is welcoming and very pleasant to be around. They definitely want you to have a nice warming experience. The owners are amazing and accommodating to all situations, they also are very in tune with the customers and their wants and needs. They enjoy giving that personal warming experience by checking in to make sure you’re getting the best service possible as well as feedback to make the experience even better for the next visit. When it comes to the food, it’s amazing. My favorite is the airline chicken and mashed potatoes. The flavor is definitely there and the potatoes are homemade with are the best kind in my opinion. The Mac and cheese was fantastic my son is a picky eater and he’s very selective about his food but he couldn’t get enough of it! I love supporting small/family owned businesses and this is definitely a place to come check out for the full experience.”

“We have always gone to Lobsterfest,great place to get the family together, or just Husband and I, but,this time the lobster was tough and kind of dried out..I am sorry to say that, but, we actually took lobster home,not finishing our meal.It was not up to the quality of seafood we have always had in the past. This was Cedar Rapids, and usually we go to Davenport location. Thank You, I know this is something no one can control, you never know what you are going to get!We will be back..”

“My daughter and I always order the same thing because it's our favorite. The southern style chicken in a biscuit with country gravy, (not sure that is the exact name) However last night we were disappointed with the one spindley chicken strip on these. It tasted good but usually it had a piece of chicken that you would have a bite if chicken with the biscuit and last night it was all biscuit. Like we would have been better off ordering chicken strips with it so we could add our own. Maybe this is the new norm, maybe they were out of the chicken and were rationing the chicken strips. However what has always been my favorite meal it was disappointing.”

“This is the only 24/7 McDonald's in the area and it was a little confusing to try and navigate getting my order picked up as someone who delivers. However, it was just a quirk that was a product of the menus switching over to the breakfast menu. Other than that I'm usually pretty happy with the service and the order is ready for me to pickup when I arrive”

“This is always the place my kid asks to go to if I ask if they want to go somewhere. There are so many unique creations on the menu and everything we have tried so far has been tasty! I particularly love the pork belly grilled cheese. The servers are friendly, efficient, and great at what they do. There's an outdoor patio with a nice setup, but we like the eclectic decor inside. Definitely a must-try. It'll become a favorite!”

A fairly typical Midwestern “corner bar with food” however the food was excellent and a wide choice of tap beers with a nice Happy Hour option. Recommend!! (Kind of a hidden gem, with great service too.) We had wings and onion rings, and the daily special BBQ pulled pork and sweet potato fries.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp in the back. “This place is AMAZING!! New flavors for Mexican food i haven’t tasted before. The service was fantastic, the workers are so nice and joke around with you and have fun. The food came out about 10 min after we ordered which is super fast for 6 people at a table. I tasted all the food on the table and nothing was overly spicy. It was all so flavorful and delicious. Everyone’s plate was huge too!! PLUS AT THE END WE GOT A FULL SIZED FREE SHOT THATS HOUSE MADE. That was very good too. Over all i will be a loyal customer to this restaurant.”

“We've been to Craft'd many times for beverages and bakery items… but today was the first day we had breakfast, and had it delivered to our home via Grubhub. It was fantastic! We had croissant sandwiches with egg and cheese, avocado toast, and some chocolates. I was a bit hesitant about ordering a warm sandwich for delivery… but it was wrapped in aluminum foil and very warm when it arrived. GrubHub delivery fee is only $1.99 and free if you have Amazon prime… We will definitely be ordering breakfast from Craft'd for delivery again!”

“Amazing experience tonight! A group of 5 girls got together and first met up at a restaurant on 1st Avenue and 2nd Street downtown. The service was beyond horrible. It took 45+ minutes and THREE requests for our server just to bring water to the table. One girl told our waitress to just cancel our orders as we were going elsewhere. The waitress literally gave us a thumbs up and kept on walking. We reconvened as a group to Mamacita's, and from the minute we walked in we were treated amazing. The restaurant was packed, and they were busy, but we never felt neglected in the least. Macarena was our server and she was ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE. The bartender was Julio, and the drinks were total perfection. Amazing food, drinks, and service. Mamacitas did an incredible job turning a bad dining experience into a wonderfully memorable experience!!!”

“Some of my coworkers have bought cookies from this chain and sang praises about them. And it just so happens there was one in my area.When I arrived, I could instantly smell freshly baked cookies. To me, that’s one of the best smells in the world. Granted, the inside area was very small for customers; only enough room to organize a line to the register and two spaces to place orders via touchscreen displays.The touchscreen displays were very convenient and allowed me to easily browse their wares. I was surprised (and somewhat disappointed) that only six types of cookies were available. It wasn’t until I did a little digging that this business would rotate flavors each week and offer special kinds during certain seasons/holidays/etc.The cashier was friendly and easily answered all my questions. I’m thankful she confirmed how the carrot cake cost about a dollar more than the other cookies.The cookies I chose were Double Fudge Brownie, Lemon Crinkle, and Strawberry Pretzel Pie. The size for each cookie was considerable but also had a price to match; over $4 per cookie. Definitely a treat to be enjoyed sparingly.The Double Fudge Brownie cookie was deemed excellent by my dad.As for my mom, who wanted the Lemon Crinkle, she thought it was okay, believing it could have used more lemon zest to improve the flavor. And after sampling it, I’d have to agree; the Crinkle cookie seemed to need more lemon and probably could have done with a slightly fancier appearance like some icing/glaze.When I dig into the Strawberry Pretzel Pie, I was surprised by how thick the cookies were. The people who made these did not do things by halves. And the flavor was pretty tasty. The pretzels added a nice crunch with the strawberry sauce being tangy and sweet, the cream topping was smooth and, well, creamy.I’m not sure how often I’ll return here, but the other options in rotation have earned my interest. The prices are high, but when they do cookies right, they’re done right.Vegetarian options: It’s a dessert shop. In my experience, meat isn’t a cookie ingredient.Parking: The parking lot is shared with several other businesses. Despite that, I found plenty of parking space.”

“Not a horrible place. We were there for a company party, so the place was closed to the public and we were the only ones there. It was very open. In the way back they had games, like cornhole. I didn't really go back there so I'm not sure what else was back there. And there is a pool table up front. The only thing that bothered me was its location. It's behind other stores, so you kinda have to know where you're going or else you'll miss it. The entrance is in between two businesses and farther back. But, obviously, they can't do anything about that, so it just is what it is. I did like the size of the place and how airy it felt, the ceilings are really high, I think it was just a warehouse that they converted into a bar. But, all in all, it's an okay b ar. Not the best, definitely not high scale. I don't know how much drinks cost because ours were covered..”

We stopped in tonight because we forgot it was Sunday and our normal go-to spots where we normally get food were closed already. So here we were hungry and in need of somewhere with some good food that was open past 8. Google led us right to them. I got the birria tacos. They were juicy with great portions and full of so much flavor. They have been the best birria tacos I have ever had. I will definitely be going back to try more options from the menu and some drinks.”

“This has been my club for years. It's a bar, not a bottle club, so the cover at the door is reasonable - only $5.00 before 8PM. Music is not too loud so you can talk to the girls. I'm there to get as much female attention as I can, so I am nice to the girls and they are nice to me. There are a variety of types and some have greedy attitudes so you have to be careful but I usually find someone to make me feel good. I do miss Nikki. I was in love with her. They serve good, strong drinks and beers an old guy can like (Miller High Life for me). The management is pretty tough but they let the girls work the tables as well as the stage. This old guy enjoys himself when he's there.”

Yes folks, broccoli with butter, sour cream, cheese and bacon, and when I asked for it on a plate instead of a small bowl, and explained why, (better cheese melt), she said heck yes and got ‘er done. The southern style chicken in a biscuit with country gravy, (not sure that is the exact name) However last night we were disappointed with the one spindley chicken strip on these. Like we would have been better off ordering chicken strips with it so we could add our own. Maybe this is the new norm, maybe they were out of the chicken and were rationing the chicken strips. “Some of my coworkers have bought cookies from this chain and sang praises about them. And it just so happens there was one in my area.When I arrived, I could instantly smell freshly baked cookies. To me, that’s one of the best smells in the world. Granted, the inside area was very small for customers; only enough room to organize a line to the register and two spaces to place orders via touchscreen displays.The touchscreen displays were very convenient and allowed me to easily browse their wares. I was surprised (and somewhat disappointed) that only six types of cookies were available. It wasn’t until I did a little digging that this business would rotate flavors each week and offer special kinds during certain seasons/holidays/etc.The cashier was friendly and easily answered all my questions. I’m thankful she confirmed how the carrot cake cost about a dollar more than the other cookies.The cookies I chose were Double Fudge Brownie, Lemon Crinkle, and Strawberry Pretzel Pie. The size for each cookie was considerable but also had a price to match; over $4 per cookie. Definitely a treat to be enjoyed sparingly.The Double Fudge Brownie cookie was deemed excellent by my dad.As for my mom, who wanted the Lemon Crinkle, she thought it was okay, believing it could have used more lemon zest to improve the flavor. And after sampling it, I’d have to agree; the Crinkle cookie seemed to need more lemon and probably could have done with a slightly fancier appearance like some icing/glaze.When I dig into the Strawberry Pretzel Pie, I was surprised by how thick the cookies were. The people who made these did not do things by halves. And the flavor was pretty tasty. The pretzels added a nice crunch with the strawberry sauce being tangy and sweet, the cream topping was smooth and, well, creamy.I’m not sure how often I’ll return here, but the other options in rotation have earned my interest. The prices are high, but when they do cookies right, they’re done right.Vegetarian options: It’s a dessert shop. In my experience, meat isn’t a cookie ingredient.Parking: The parking lot is shared with several other businesses. Despite that, I found plenty of parking space.”

“Went to Lucky's for breakfast with my family. I had the Villa with their French toast special (red velvet with a sweet cream cheese filling). The French toast was so delicious I didn't need syrup with it, my over easy eggs were perfect, the sausage links are huge and we got four to an order. My son had the mini waffles and they are decent price and excellent quality. We topped it off with coffee that our server Mika kept full and checked on us often. We will definitely have to go back and try other things on the breakfast menu.”
