40 Best Fast Food Restaurants in Cedar Rapids

“very friendly staff, especially cashier Jordan, who took our order and was very kind to my son on his birthday.“

“I don’t know how they find the nicest staff but I feel like every single staff person I’ve encountered is genuinely happy. They are always fast, always seem to have ample staffing and I have never once had a mistake with my order(and I go far too often). Whoever runs CFA needs to run for President 🤣“

“First time here. Not busy, so we ordered quickly and received our food/drinks in just a few minutes. The made to order Burgers are all about $10 each and ours were made correctly, and were hot. My only complaint is that a firmer bun is needed as the one used is to soft and fell apart. The small order of fries $4+ was enough for both of us, and they were hot and lightly salted. Coke products is not my favorite,so I just got an ice water, and my husband got a shake for $5.50. yikes!! very pricey...but he said the salted carmel was good. Overall...2 burgers, 1 small fry and a shake for $31 was pricey. oh..free peanuts. That was an unexpected surprise.“

“once again I went to the cedar rapids location and got bad service and bad food.the manager was no wherev2 be found.“

“My Son & Daughter-In-Law live near this particular Taco John's. Every time the Wife and I visit them, I offer to buy. I have never had a bad experience here. Food delicious and hot, restaurants always clean, service is fast, staff always friendly. Five stars all around!“

“The new Mexican pizza wasn't bad. It's paper thin so it's actually cooked. We all go here for the potato oles so that's what matters. They were good. I learned a very important thing about oles from Taco johns. Leave the bag open on the way home. This will keep them from getting soggy. If I close up the bag they are a soggy mess by the time I get home which is only 10-15 mins.

This Taco Johns I went to is new and seemed well ran. We did not have to pull forward and wait 10 mins for our food to be walked out to the car. That's pretty common lately and it isn't convenient for going on your lunch break. Nope.

Now if we could get them to bring back the old fries and the ranch burrito from the 90's.“

“Excellent food. Service is fast and food is hot. You can actually watch them flame broil your burgers! The only complaint for me is it is freezing cold in there. I recommend bringing a long sleeve shirt or a light jacket. Otherwise I love this establishment!!“

“I see a lot of negative reviews in regards to this specific location. I find some of these a little hard to believe. Girlfriend and I come in often and have never had any issues. Always had friendly staff, good food and speedy service. No complaints here! Always quiet when we come in as well.“

“I'm forever grateful for restoring back love and harmony in my marriage after a year of separation. #chiefdr24hourslovespell“

“We went through the drive through and the Lady Angie that was working was about the most pleasant person ever. She went above and beyond. We had a long wait however she took care of us. Very friendly.“

“Always a very pleasant visit when coming to the BF CFA! Went through the drive tonight and was greeted excitedly by a young man (didn’t catch his name) he took our order and then we pulled around to pick up our food. Cooper held conversation with us while waiting for our food. He asked us about our day and we connected over both enjoying Forrest Frank’s music. It made our short wait feel like it was nothing! Props to him! You guys rock! Keep up the good work!“

“Very friendly staff, the chicken gumbo and mac and cheese was a 10/10! Will be coming back soon“

“Traveling through and missed breakfast this morning, this was perfect and hit the spot for the 1st meal of the day. Staff were super efficient and moved the long line of cars right through. This was first ever experience with Raising Cane's Chicken. I wish we had one where I live.“

“My friend and I went to Arbys to pick up meals for residents who have been affected by the flood. We asked if there was any type of discount they could provide us. The manager gave us 50% off our order. We defianty were not expexting that big of a discount and want to say THANK YOU!“

“my favorite DQ.....best Dilly bars in town“

“I want to talk specifically about today's experience at this location. I placed my order for my fiancé and my kids, pulled up to the window, and waited for someone to come so I could pay. At first I'll admit I was a little annoyed that it was taking a while and it looked like plenty of people inside. But I figured there was probably a good reason. So I just sat and talked to my oldest son while we waited. The lady who came to the window apologized and let me know that their computer was frozen and they were trying to figure out how to get my order rung up so I could pay. I understood and waited. A few minutes later, the computer was up again. I handed her my card and they tried a few times to process it. It kept saying declined but there was definitely money on it. She called over another lady who tried, then typed it in. Everything froze up again. I let her know if they wanted, I could hand the food and drinks back over, but also called the fiancé to see if anything showed up on his end yet just in case. While I was doing this, the lady instead comped the order and gave us the meals for free. She told me "you have kids to feed. You don't need to worry about it." I was incredibly thankful for that and honestly hadn't expected anything like that to happen. I wish I had caught her name to give a good report back to whoever on that.“

“I just love the veggie delight n veggie patty salads, OMG so yummy n I put avacado n guacamole for sauce I can't wait to get again thanks 😊“

“They forgot part of my order one time and the manager was super awesome and helpful and made sure to make it right for me! And I cannot say enough good things about Tonny who works there. He is so funny and so awesome. Every time I go there, it makes the experience wonderful!! He even has made the experience great for my kids and they love to see him there as well. 5 star experience from Tony every time! He deserves a raise! 👏“

“I just had the most amazing gyro made by T'von. I accidentally forgot to say roast beef but this happy mistake led me to meeting the person who cooked it. He explained to detail how he prepares it, and he does an amazing job.
We're just passing by this part of the country and I'm so glad to have met the person who took our order (guy with an eye covered, sorry I can't remember you name) and ther person who prepared our food, T'von. There are amazing workers in places that you least expect, I hope the AC gets fixed so you can work in better conditions. Thank you for giving your very best, my family and I really appreciate it!“

“I have heard of this on commercials. so naturally I had to try. they welcomed me in, let me choose my sandwich. (which I recommend getting #8). I tried it Mike's way. it's the BEST sub I have ever had. and I was not sure what to expect. I used to love subway, then for what ever reason something changed. so I tried Casey's subs. They were ok. but still missing something. I found it . Go eat at Jerseys Mike. you will not regret it.“

“🔥 Shoutout to Zack and his crew at Firehouse Subs! 🔥 Not only were the subs amazing (as always), but the service was next-level. Zack and the team were super friendly, fast, and made the whole experience awesome. You can tell they really care about what they do—and it shows. If you’re craving a great sub AND great vibes, this is the spot. Big thanks to Zack & crew for making lunch the highlight of my day! 🙌🥪❤️“

“Great flavor in their jerk seasoning. It gets a little hot, but the flavor still comes through. Nice folks.“

“We've been to this BK a lot because of the accuracy and quality of the food. Tonight, there was some things missing. They quickly corrected and even threw in some extras for my trouble. I worked in fast food as a teen and things happen. I just appreciate the quick correction AND a few extra goodies.“

“Everyone working today around noon were absolutely amazing. They were very patient with our children as they were figuring out what they wanted. It was very busy but they made us feel like they were just focusing on us. We did not stand in line for very long even though the line was to the door. The food was amazing and tasted fresh. All the way around the moment we walked in it was a great experience and we found our new Subway we will be going to from now on.“

“I have not been to this Subway in years and it was such a pleasant experience. Employee Megan (dont know if I spelled that right) created my online order that morning, it was a breakfast footlong that was exceptional. It was satisfying to see my tomatoes perfectly lined up and seasoned. The store was tidy and well lit. The sandwich station was clean, crisp and vibrant. Megan was kind, very thorough with answering my questions and efficient with serving the customers.
Most definitely coming back to this location🤞🏽“

“Best Subway experience in years, and we've had some solid ones. The sandwich artist did an effective job engaging as customers while skillfully fulfilling our orders. Portions on point, veggies are fresh, store is very clean, staff is attentive. Recommend.“

“Best Buster Bar I have ever had! Nice job!“

“Close to work Robinson very convenient for me. Drive through is great but if the line is too long, it's easy to park and walk in. Employees always greet me and are fast so I can get back to on time. I never ate in the restaurant but it always looks clean and neat.“

“I can't rate the food, as I only picked up a pair of Doordash orders. However, as I put one of the orders I was assigned in my pizza bag, the kind young man gave me a 2nd bag to keep the 2nd order warm in. 1st rate service caring for our common customer!“

“I usually expect mediocrity when I go to a fast food establishment. I was pleasantly surprised by this Subway. The store was super busy but the worker behind the counter flew through the line and I got my food quick. I got a meatball sub and it was legit the best one I've ever had. The lady making my food was super upbeat and seemed like she was actually happy to be doing what she was doing, which is EXTREMELY rare in this day and age. Usually people act miserable to be doing their jobs, but the staff I dealt with were very personable and it definitely made a difference in the experience. Will be driving across town just to come back to this Subway! Keep up the great service!“

“I've visited this Subway location for years. It's generally good.

I want to recognize Rachel, who made 3 beautiful Subway Club sandwiches for my order on 3/31/26 during a busy lunch hour.

Thanks Rachel!“

“yes Huts of pizza good little confused done with the BLE and BCR&N me not you best pizza's in town called me osage back to basics“

“#10: Hunter's Club and #17: Ultimate Porker are my go to favorite sandwiches year round at Jimmy John's. I love their Chocolate Chip Cookies and Fudge Brownies.I also love the Chicken Caesar Wrap, despite being a limited time option.Every time I order something from Jimmy John's on Kirkwood Blvd, everything looks and tastes great.“

“I went to this location yesterday (Sunday, December 28) for lunch and the gal behind the counter appeared to be the only one there but you would have never known. She was outstanding....she didn't miss a beat making my wrap and my husband's sandwich and was incredibly friendly. It's nice to walk into a location that is still providing great customer service....it's incredibly rare these days. I wish I could remember her name but around 12:30pm Sunday was when I was there.“

“EDITED: I have since spoke with someone higher up and they have fixed the issue. Ever since it's been fantastic there. Love them!We love pizza hut. It's a toss up between domino's and the hut for us. We may start picking domino's more often though. This last time we got a pizza with red sauce when we ordered garlic sauce. ??? I cant have red sauce unfortunately so I was bummed. But their food is yummy!“
