“The food is extremely delicious and presented well! Little louder than I’d prefer however the burgers were great! Got to try the F4 Hot Burger if you like a little kick. Staff was really friendly and the ranch is great to. Don’t miss out.“
“We were there on a Thursday for lunch. The place was packed but we found a table in back. My husband had biscuits and sausage gravy, and he said it was delicious! I had a tenderloin and fries and they were very good. The waitress was very friendly and efficient. The food came out hot and in a timely manner. We will definitely be back.“
“Went to Lucky's for breakfast with my family. I had the Villa with their French toast special (red velvet with a sweet cream cheese filling). The French toast was so delicious I didn't need syrup with it, my over easy eggs were perfect, the sausage links are huge and we got four to an order. My son had the mini waffles and they are decent price and excellent quality. We topped it off with coffee that our server Mika kept full and checked on us often. We will definitely have to go back and try other things on the breakfast menu.“
“Went on a date night to try somewhere new. Our server was so nice and informative about the menu. Both tried two of the burgers and were happy and went home full. Loved that you could pick salad, fries, or soup of the day for the side. Will 100% go again and recommend to everybody. ❤️“
“This is always the place my kid asks to go to if I ask if they want to go somewhere. There are so many unique creations on the menu and everything we have tried so far has been tasty! I particularly love the pork belly grilled cheese. The servers are friendly, efficient, and great at what they do. There's an outdoor patio with a nice setup, but we like the eclectic decor inside. Definitely a must-try. It'll become a favorite!“
“I've loved Emil's since they were a humble & awesome sandwich shop off of Boyson Rd NE. I followed them after they moved & rebranded to the Hideaway since they're closer to my work. It's a shame their hours changed thanks to COVID, but they're still pumping out some dangt good food! The chili is some of the best in town (try as they might they still can't make it as spicy as I want but I won't hold that against them), the burgers & pizza are on point, & I'll put their Italian beef up against anybody else in the area!“
“Our server Kale was excellent. Very thorough and attentive. We each tried something different. I had the Cobb salad with Chicken. It had unique corn bread crouton, cranberries, diced sweet potatoes, yummy fresh crumbles bacon bits. The sweet potato were the only part of my meal I was not a fan of. We all tried the salmon Cajun soup. It was good the salmon melted in your mouth. The Class Act burger my son said was easily the best burger he has had. My son's girlfriend had the Iowa omelet and she said it was yummy. My husband had the corn beef hash he said it was a great from scratch hash.“
“We went early so a smaller crowd; likely much busier later. A fairly typical Midwestern “corner bar with food” however the food was excellent and a wide choice of tap beers with a nice Happy Hour option. Recommend!! (Kind of a hidden gem, with great service too.) We had wings and onion rings, and the daily special BBQ pulled pork and sweet potato fries.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp in the back. Call ahead to reserve a “lowtop” table.“
“Really solid greasy spoon experience. Iowa nice servers (which is not always given for diners), decent comfort food, clean ambience, and a good mix of townie clientele. The food was quite underseasoned, but nothing that could t be fixed with table salt and pepper. They probably do this on purpose for the older folks who might be limited salt. We had breakfast and everything was pretty much exactly as you'd expect. Generous portions!“
“We stopped in from out of town with several of our friends. This local place is so charming and friendly. The good kind of fried food that just puts you in a good mood. Atmosphere is so fun - of you’re up for a hole in the wall adventure, can’t recommend this enough!“
“I recommend the loaded fries with lamb meat, grilled onions and jalapeños and cheese. The small order is enough for two people. It’s an excellent price and once the girls know you’re in there they pretty much got my order down now I try to get it at least every other week, I consider it a treat on “
“Not a horrible place. We were there for a company party, so the place was closed to the public and we were the only ones there. It was very open. In the way back they had games, like cornhole. I didn't really go back there so I'm not sure what else was back there. And there is a pool table up front. The only thing that bothered me was its location. It's behind other stores, so you kinda have to know where you're going or else you'll miss it. The entrance is in between two businesses and farther back. But, obviously, they can't do anything about that, so it just is what it is. I did like the size of the place and how airy it felt, the ceilings are really high, I think it was just a warehouse that they converted into a bar. But, all in all, it's an okay b ar. Not the best, definitely not high scale. I don't know how much drinks cost because ours were covered..“
“Zeppelins is such a wonderful experience every single time we go. The food is near perfection, I love that this restaurant has a gluten free menu and takes allergies seriously. I have never had any issues while eating at this restaurant. The happy hour that runs everyday is such always a bonus on top of the wonderful and excellent service we receive from the staff.I wanna give a special shoutout to Ben, who is such a wonderful server and just perfection. He is always excited to see us, makes us feel welcomed and wanted there. He always remembers our drinks, checks out throughout the night and always says when the bill is given he is still around if needed. He is always a pleasure and we love asking for him! We appreciate you!I would also like to give another shoutout to Maddie who is always at the hostess stand, she always make sure we feel special, always has the gluten free menu for us and recalls our name. She’s always a light to our visit, we always love walking in and she’s there and welcoming us like old friends. We appreciate you so much!!Dietary restrictions: They can handle dairy allergy and gluten allergy!“
“Yesterday 11/17/23 I was lucky enough to order the Cuban Sandwich. It was a random carry out choice and I was craving one. I’ve had many Cubans, but Cruz’s knocked it out of the park! Nice crusty but soft hoagie, tender and juicy slow cooked pork, a nice thin slab of ham, melty cheese and crisp pickles. I’d highly recommend this awesome sandwich.“
“The menu has a really nice selection. There is a good value for the food you get. We liked the appetizer sampler basket because we could try three different appetizers at once with smaller portions. There is a jukebox you can choose your music on by using your phone. There are also TVs, pool tables, and darts to play. The bathrooms were clean and well lit.“
“I discovered this restaurant about 8 months ago and it is easily my favorite restaurant in town. Delicious home cooked meals with large servings of everything. The service is friendly and top notch! And it's clean with a homey atmosphere. And best of all, the prices are reasonable and you always get your money's worth! Try it, you won't be disappointed!!“
“I had an exceptionally excellent meal last night! Texas Roadhouse is ALWAYS great, but my server went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs and wishes. As a person following a gluten free predominantly keto diet, it’s not always easy! She gave me salad without croutons, I had the 16 oz ribeye medium rare, and loaded broccoli. Yes folks, broccoli with butter, sour cream, cheese and bacon, and when I asked for it on a plate instead of a small bowl, and explained why, (better cheese melt), she said heck yes and got ‘er done. Now I know this isn’t every one’s cup of tea, but it sure made my night, and I wouldn’t be surprised if she doesn’t try it herself next time… signed, Potatoes Not Necessary!“
“My daughter and I always order the same thing because it's our favorite. The southern style chicken in a biscuit with country gravy, (not sure that is the exact name) However last night we were disappointed with the one spindley chicken strip on these. It tasted good but usually it had a piece of chicken that you would have a bite if chicken with the biscuit and last night it was all biscuit. Like we would have been better off ordering chicken strips with it so we could add our own. Maybe this is the new norm, maybe they were out of the chicken and were rationing the chicken strips. However what has always been my favorite meal it was disappointing.“
“My choice for dinner was the Pasta Primavera, which was delicious with a wonderfully flavorful sauce and veggies that were cooked just right. The Limoncello cake was moist and heavenly. The server was attentive, friendly and helpful. I enjoyed the cosy ambiance and music.Vegetarian options: Crosby’s has a few vegetarian options. The one that I tried was delicious. Pasta Primavera.Parking: I found several available free street parking spaces, including one directly in front of the restaurant ! (5:00 pm)“
“My band had played here on a firday night and we kept seeing and smelling the food coming out of the kitchen and it all looked and smelled great. The next day I brought my wife out so we could get some food and it was wonderful. As well the staff were super nice and attentative. we would definitely recommend The Village Tap to everyone.“
“Lived in and around Cedar Rapids for over 20 years. Showed up here for the first time to catch the women's Ohio state/ Iowa Game. It's undeniably the best place in Cedar Rapids to watch a sports game. The manger Mo knows sports, and how to run the TV's. her customer engagement skills are unparalleled by most people her industry. She's a true asset to the business, and makes the customer experience a great one.“
“Service was ok, food was blah nothing much to it. Prices went up, quality went down even worse. I come here maybe once or twice a year now I see why.(Update: I was here not too long ago, accompanied with my fiance. It seems like things have kind of improved and hopefully that continues. The food and service was much better.)“
“My dad and I popped in for lunch at Czech Town Station. Our waitress was very helpful throughout our meal and quite accommodating with helping us select beers to try with our meal. We both ended up getting the schnitzel with tots and potato salad. We polished it off because we were hungry tourists. This restaurant provided a nice pick-me-up for us to continue exploring Czech Village and Cedar Rapids.“
“Stopped at New Bo for something to eat and decided on this booth. I ordered the Italian Beef with Hot Peppers and juice on the side since I was eating in my car. It was hands down the best I have had in Cedar Rapids. I would put it up against a couple places I go to in Chicago. Full of beef and very filling and was $11 after tip. Well Done I will be back!“
“It was our first time dining today! I am from Waterloo and drive by often when in CR and have always wanted to try. Not only were the food and drinks amazing but, the servers were extremely friendly and helpful. I cant wait to visit again.“
“We stopped by this restaurant for lunch on our drive home to Minneapolis (from St Louis MO). Very good and friendly service, decent (unpretentious) foods: I asked to have the hashbrowns crispy and it came out just as I expected it. This will be our annual stop after Thanksgiving on our way home.“
“ON MARCH 30, 6pm went for nice quiet dinner and WOW! The music was so loud you couldn't here yourself. It blew our heads off. I don't know how the customers there could stand it....There was no choice but to leave. We like the place the servers and the food but not with music raising the roof. Very dissapointing! Not sure if and or when we'll go back.“
“Tried app sampler and chicken tenders were amazing, really good honey mustard. Got my usual for dinner and everything just as I expected. Luis was a great server, so friendly and accommodating. Very quick to clear plates, bring refills and ask if all was well once we had received our food. Helped us order to go muffins/rolls for breakfast tomorrow. Great to find such kind and attentive service, thank you!“
“I like it alittle less noisy, but thats just me.The food and drinks were very good. And everyone had a good time. If you want to visit, just ask not to sit near the bar ..Duh !!! Overall it's a really nice placeParking: It's on street parking, sometimes metered between 7am and 6pm. It's not bad,but not big parking lot, just along the street curb“
“Love this place I take my grandkids there in the afternoon for lunch. They're only open from like 11 to 2. (For lunch but please check that) and than open again at 2 for the evening . The mozzarella sticks are made homemade in house and are amazing. We crave their burgers !! Yummy !! There is a Very handsome blonde waiter. That is always so fun and has Great customer service. It's worth it to overlook the parking situation downtown !!“
“This place is absolutely phenomenal! The food was great. The appetizers were amazing. We had the fried green tomatoes and the hummus. It was absolutely scrumptious. I ordered a steak and the salmon both to die for definitely recommended and will be coming back. Our server Jordan was amazing.“
“I was just In American skillet I ordered the rubber and fries and a small milk I'm hurt the rubber wasn't done right there was only corned beef one one side no one check on us until we were ready to.leave. my meal was taken off the bill I didn't want that I wasn't even asked I wanted my food.“
“We have stopped and had lunch here 4 times now. Usually on Saturday and Sundays when we are in town. I'm always impressed with the food, price and service. If you don't want to miss the game, don't worry. They have plenty of TVs, each showing a different game. Kind of our go to place now when visiting CR.“
“Someone posted recently and gave great reviews. I realized it's been years since I have been here. Decided to give them a try and glad we did. Waited on immediately. Great atmosphere. Food was great!! Definitely on my regular list now.“
“I really should have been eating at Willie Ray's more before now. I first tried the place that is now Willie Ray's once or twice back when it was E-Z Fast BBQ. I have picked up food from the little hut a few times since it has been Willie Ray's, also. Willie Ray's food has always been fantastic, but I really don't like to do barbecue as take-out. (I have dogs, and bringing barbecue in the house gets them so worked up.) Now that Willie Ray's has a sit-down location, I'm thrilled! I have been twice in the past week. I'm the kind of barbecue fan that real barbecue fans complain about. I drench my food in sauce. So, the quality of a barbecue restaurant's sauce is super important to me. Willie Ray's sauce is amazing! I have tried the pulled pork sandwich, and the brisket sandwich. I would highly recommend both. Personally, I liked the pulled pork a little better, but I think most barbecue fans would prefer the brisket. The brisket has an incredibly well-developed bark. I happen to be a weirdo who doesn't like much bark, but I know most people love it. Even with more bark than I'm used to, the brisket was still awesome, though. The people who run the restaurant have been super nice on both visits, and they get you your food very quickly. So, it's a great lunch break option.“
“This is just what Cedar Rapids needed. The food is awesome. Breakfast for 2 is cheaper than lunch for 2 at a fast-food joint! Portions are good sixes. The service was great. Very spacious and clean. Definitely will be a regular place for breakfast. I will be going back to try their lunch menu ?“
“The baked steak was yummy. It was the first thing gone on my plate. The hash browns were good.My husband said the omelet was good and the pancakes were ok. However the elephant ear was not worth it which was a huge disappointment for him as that's what he was looking the most forward too. The server did a good job.“
“Felt like walking into a friend’s place. Friendly staff. Great drinks and our appetizer was to die for. Always looking for the trifecta.. good food/drinks, great atmosphere and great service. Yep, you will definitely get that! Highly recommend!“
“Cozy and comfortable bar on the SW side of Cedar Rapids. The staff acts like they've known you for years. Food is always fresh and delicious. We like to order food to go, if we don't have time for a drink. Always pleased to make a stop here in our day.“
“Humongous maid right sandwiches with just the right amount of juice. Every time I get around one of these restaurants I make sure to stop. Everything you order there tends to be large portions. If you don't have a very big appetite you can make two or three meals out of one order.“
“Broad selection of beers (50+) and martinis. The Cat Dragon (hard ginger beer) and Pineapple Papaya Fandango were my two favourites. Friendly staff, nice patio section and there's a nice private space for reserved parties! Will definitely be back :)“
“We have been fans of Cobble since the very beginning - I can't believe I haven't written a review! The attention to detail, quality, and creativity is unmatched. We love coming every few months, although it would be weekly if it were up to me! We travel a fair amount and have experienced many, lovely meals. We love to compare to our local favorite, but the "Cobble Bar" is quite high - nothing has beat them yet. :)“
