“Price to food ratio was very affordable for a family of 4 with the children having lunch items. Felt food was a bit on the bland side but overall very filling with wonderful servers and a home like atmosphere! Wish we had more napkins with our meal 2 wasn't enough.“
“My boyfriend and I were in Independence, Iowa for about 2 weeks for his job and we stayed at the Hotel that was in walking distance to this little bar so we went and checked it out! We absolutely loved it! We went in and immediately we were greeted with friendly smiles and great conversation! By the time we left we felt like part of the family! This is our favorite bar here in Independence! If your in the area, for sure check them out!“
“Great subs!You want tasteless meats and cheeses for cheap: go to subway (BTW subway isn't much cheaper.)For excellent meats and cheeses, 1st st Deli is the place to go. Pastrami was so good. And the dill spread was the perfect accompaniment. Wife really liked her Ceasar chicken wrap too. We'll definitely be back“
“Great food, great service! This is a small town restaurant at its finest. You can definitely tell a lot of the customers are regulars by the way they are greeted but that didn't make us feel any less welcome. Our server was extremely attentive and friendly and even apologized when they ran out of lemons for our iced tea. Portion sizes were huge (and prices extremely reasonable). Both my husband and I took home leftovers. My only complaint was that my Monte Cristo didn't come with jam. The side of soup that I got definitely made up for it though. Great place, will definitely go back!“
