“This is always the place my kid asks to go to if I ask if they want to go somewhere. There are so many unique creations on the menu and everything we have tried so far has been tasty! I particularly love the pork belly grilled cheese. The servers are friendly, efficient, and great at what they do. There's an outdoor patio with a nice setup, but we like the eclectic decor inside. Definitely a must-try. It'll become a favorite!“
“We didn't plan on going here tonight, but this is where we ended up. I'm so happy we found this place. We stopped in tonight because we forgot it was Sunday and our normal go-to spots where we normally get food were closed already. So here we were hungry and in need of somewhere with some good food that was open past 8. Google led us right to them. I got the birria tacos. They were juicy with great portions and full of so much flavor. They have been the best birria tacos I have ever had. I will definitely be going back to try more options from the menu and some drinks.“

“The menu has a really nice selection. There is a good value for the food you get. We liked the appetizer sampler basket because we could try three different appetizers at once with smaller portions.There is a jukebox you can choose your music on by using your phone. There are also TVs, pool tables, and darts to play. The bathrooms were clean and well lit.“

“I ordered the crabmeat nachos. DON'T DO IT !! They are placed in the microwave and there is no crunch, what a waste of money. The up side is the margaritas were good. C.Js is good to meet up with your friends & have a cocktail but don't expect delicious nachos“
“ON MARCH 30, 6pm went for nice quiet dinner and WOW! The music was so loud you couldn't here yourself. It blew our heads off. I don't know how the customers there could stand it....There was no choice but to leave. We like the place the servers and the food but not with music raising the roof. Very dissapointing! “Just a nice mid-range pub with great grub, a big outdoor presence, and about anything you can imagine to drink. Great service, and clean. Apps menu alone could satisfy your hunger, but the burgers and sandwiches are great also. We stayed on the beaten path, but they have some interesting sounding options on the menu as well.“
“Tailgaters is one of the few venues in Cedar Rapids that consistently brings in good musical acts. The bartenders are generally great. It can be hit-or-miss there have been times when I felt the service was a bit sub par. But that is the exception rather than the rule. The owner is there frequently and he likes to make sure a good time is had by all.“

“We tried the appetizer Fire Cracker Chicken Cream Cheese Twists they were out of this world yummy. Then we both ordered chicken tenders. They were golden brown and seasoned to perfection. They were scrumptious white meat no scrimping there. I had the jalapeno creamed corn. The bowl was full to the top but I was hungry and dug in then remembered I should take pictures. That was delicious. I actually ate that first. My husband's totes were also golden brown and tasted great.Our only mistake was going in during the women's Hawkeye basketball game as we are not huge sports fans and during the game you felt like you were in a movie theater. It was super loud. On the bright side, I finally saw a Hawkeye women's basketball game and they won. LOL! There were only a couple of tables in there and they were having a lot of fun. Mind you it is a sports bar that's what's supposed to be going on in there. So while it may seem like I'm complaining, I am not just stating facts. After the game they turned down the TVs and put on some pleasant music.The waitress was very pleasant and as we were climbing into our truck my husband had forgotten his leftovers and she came running out with them which was so super sweet.I will definitely go back.“

Decent to average house cues. Chalk vending machine. The tables are unlimited play by the hour and there are a few coin opp tables as well. Good selection of beer and spirits. Clean and well kept. Underground location adds extra cool factor. Big spacious room. Usually not busy during the week and busy on the weekends. Cash only with ATM on premises. Dart boards and table soccer, too. No food but the owner is cool and let's you bring in carry out from other places.“
“I always get the cheeseburger wrap because it's my absolute favorite. The place is a little pricey for a bar, but I feel like everywhere is that way anymore. I'm not a huge fan of the darkness that is the entire atmosphere, but again, it is a bar. The service was good and the waitress was super nice. Good bar food if you are in the mood for it!“

“Came in to watch the ISU basketball game and was pleasantly surprised to see it on more than one screen. Had a taco salad, minus the ranch but added salsa & sour cream. It was fantastic! Just the right size. Finished with the chocolate cake (warmed up) & ice cream. OMG! Sooo good! The service was spot on which was very pleasant. Happy hour sounds good too - Mon through Fri, 3-6, half price bottles, draws, and wells!“

“Went to Lucky's for breakfast with my family. I had the Villa with their French toast special (red velvet with a sweet cream cheese filling). The French toast was so delicious I didn't need syrup with it, my over easy eggs were perfect, the sausage links are huge and we got four to an order. My son had the mini waffles and they are decent price and excellent quality. We topped it off with coffee that our server Mika kept full and checked on us often. We will definitely have to go back and try other things on the breakfast menu.“
