“Great service, staff is awesome! Full access to Thai menu from the great restaurant next door. The venue just tends to get pretty noisy due to the high metal ceiling.Kid-friendliness: Fantastic place to bring the kids! Lots of stuff for them to do, like giant Jenga, connect 4 structures, pool, ping pong, and shuffle board.“

“A new and ever changing menu plus old faithful items like the Carmichael make The Dog a great place to grab something to eat, and a drink. You can play pool, darts or catch a game on one of their 16 TV's, great sound system and jute box. The bartenders are friendly and attentive whether you are a regular or somebody new stopping in. If you haven't stopped in to The Dog in the past few months you will be pleasantly surprised at their expansion and rehab.“

“Ordered a garbage basket, 1/2 pound hamburger and a Carmichael sandwich. Got the garbage basket and then we waited and waited for the sandwiches. We even had another waitress ask if we were waiting for our bill! Then another waitress dropped some ketchup next to me and it got all over me! When we finally got our sandwiches the 1/2 pound burger looked more like a 1/4 pound burger from McDonald's! Never took anything off for the ketchup mess or the extra 45 minute wait! Very disappointed!“

Southend Tap Bar • $
55 Locust St, Dubuque

“Me and a co worker were talking how we have been driving by this place for 25 years, going between Madison and Des Moines. We both thought, "I'd like to stop in there once." Well we had a work meeting in DBQ, and decidedly to go visit. Were not disappointed. Seems like a great neighborhood bar. Weeknight and there were people from 21 to 65+ in there. All having a good time. Had a musical bingo thing going on. That was fun too.“

“Awesome food and atmosphere. Comfortable chairs and plenty of elbow room. We ate around 6 and the service was spot on. Our waitress Kori was awesome. Our drinks were always full and the appetizers and food came quickly. Be sure to get some of the mozzarella bite appetizers they fall apart in your mouth they are so good. We had a variety of plates at our table and everything was delicious.Parking: Plenty of street parking. Read the back of the meter for pay times but after 5pm appears to be free.Kid-friendliness: Went here with our two kiddos and they loved it. Crayons and mats to draw on, pretty large kids menu with five options and good portions.“

“I have and will continue to drive an hour out of my way with coolers in my car to take home as many ribs as I can haul away. OUTSTANDING ribs and wings (and fries) that will make you wonder if you're still in Iowa. Service was beyond accommodating every time we've been there. Great original recipe BBQ sauce if you like that on your ribs or wings, but they're perfect as they are imo.“
