“I was looking for a place to easily accommodate my group of 14 for lunch on a Saturday. With short notice they got us set up in the back room, Melissa delivered perfect service, all 14 meals came out at once, all the food was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I've driven past this place a thousand times and never gave it a thought. Now I will definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal and friendly staff. Thank you Rhody's. First off, the Carmichael burger lives up to the hype. Perfectly seasoned, juicy, and stacked with cheese in the middle it’s one of the best bar burgers I’ve had in Iowa. I also tried their wings, and the flavor options are wild in the best way. The Raspberry Jalapeño was a surprising favorite sweet with just enough kick.

The vibe inside is relaxed and friendly. Plenty of TVs to catch a game, and the crowd was a nice mix of regulars and new faces. It’s easy to feel like a regular here, even if it’s your first time. The bartenders were quick and easy to chat with, which makes all the difference.

“Small is beautiful AND delicious! We absolutely recommend this quaint little coffee shop. We ordered drip coffee, hot chocolate, a chocolate croissant and a cinnamon roll. All of it was great delicious especially the chocolate croissant which was fresh and deliciously flaky. So glad we went there instead of Starbucks.“

Tuesdays they have 2 dollar off dinner baskets and 2 dollar margaritas! They have other specials as well!

They have a touchtunes jukebox to play music and you can connect your phone to the app as well to pick music right from your bar stool! They have tvs to watch sports and other shows on.

They also have darts and slot machines! Through glass doors, they hold euchre games a couple tomes a week for 7 dollars plus an additional 25 cents if u dont have a partner. (cost of euchre as of 10/30/2025)“

“We came with a medium size party. Service was good and the waitress was very nice, they were very busy which was likely why it took a little while for food, but the food was good. I had a fried chicken sandwich with a side salad. Their mayo and salad dressings came in packets and their salad was shredded lettuce that normally goes in tacos. Aside from that the food was really good. A few of us had burgers and they said they were cooked well with food flavor. Overall I would definitely recommend for a chill bar food atmosphere.“

“They have done an AMAZING rehab of this store - I was mind-boggled! It's gorgeous, bright and opulent inside. I got back to my hotel late at night and all the restaurants were closed. HY Vee has a huge selection of pre-made, delicious food choices. Grab a fork, I forgot!“

“Hostess amazing! 2 LARGE Pancakes, eggs, 3 turkey sausage patties $8... split the meal between us we ate there for the first time 2 weeks earlier and ordered the breakfast burrito. They did not disappoint! Next time will try the Asian Cuisine or the Brick Oven Pizza as both options also looked fantastic! Will be stopping any time we drive through town.“

When we walked in we were greeted by the sweetest person running the complex that day, filling us in on the history of the mini golf course because that's what we were there to do! Yes, it's very dated and some of the mechanics don't work on evey hole but fun....absolutely!!! ⛳️“

“We stopped at The Barrel House on our way thru Dubuque. Food was great, but our waiter Travis was outstanding! Very nice young man who did everything you'd want a great waiter to do! His mom raised him right!!!“
