“Meal was so delicious, great variety of food and amazing customer service. The Mamacita crew really takes pride & joy in making sure the food is fresh and making sure their customers are satisfied!! They weren’t lying when they said it will become your new addiction! I’ve been here everyday!! :)))Vegetarian options: Sooo good!Dietary restrictions: None, they make everything you need !!Parking: Lots of space !“
“I don’t give five stars unless everything is perfect and the service is good. Good service is so hard to find anymore. Our server was amazing! We didn’t have to wait for anything and he was always checking on us and super nice. This was our first time here and I loved it. We all ordered breakfast and it was amazing. Also got chips and queso which were some of the best chips in town! Ordered a horchata latte which was amzing and the ozzy bfast skillet. The skillet was super good! My bf ordered the biscuits and gravy which was also super good.“
“Hello! My son and I visited your establishment This Past Saturday and IT WAS AWESOME!!! PEOPLE WERE VERY NICE, ATMOSPHERE WAS CLEAN AND FESTIVE, AND GREAT SERVICE!!!???We Both had The California Burritos Smothered and Horchatas to drink. I had Chocolate, He had Strawberry...YUMMY!!! BIGFOOD PORTIONS, and The Hostess We spoke with was VERY FRIENDLY AND ACCOMODATING!!! PRICES WERE GOOD TOO FOR WHAT YOU GET.???“
“I am normally focused on uncovering, reporting and solving local petty crime in CR, but tonight was a change of pace.Upon arrival I was whisked to an open seat at the bar (there was only one left)... I ordered a Mezcal Marg and some el pastor tacos... WOW! and the service! I shall be back!5/5“
“I've been to El Super Burrito & Lupita's dozens of times throughout the years and it never fails to hit the spot. I stopped in Tuesday to try their Torta Cubana special and it is definitely a top sandwich in CR. The bread was incredibly fresh, and the sandwich was stuffed with ham, egg, guac, jalapenos, and more! And you can't come here and not get a stuffed churro which are the best I have EVER had. So fortunate to have this in our town!“
“Food was fantastic, staff was very friendly. They weren't very busy but I'd wait to eat this food, not only did it taste very well the presentation was different front want you normally see. If I was you passing threw town I'd stop and see what you are missing.“
“They had authentic ingredients at a great price. Could do a better job of advertising where the grocery side of store is,. I almost missed it because the front looks out of business "restaraunt had same name"& "store was on the side"“
“I ordered the crabmeat nachos. DON'T DO IT !! They are placed in the microwave and there is no crunch, what a waste of money. The up side is the margaritas were good. C.Js is good to meet up with your friends & have a cocktail but don't expect delicious nachos“
“We didn't plan on going here tonight, but this is where we ended up. I'm so happy we found this place. We stopped in tonight because we forgot it was Sunday and our normal go-to spots where we normally get food were closed already. So here we were hungry and in need of somewhere with some good food that was open past 8. Google led us right to them. I got the birria tacos. They were juicy with great portions and full of so much flavor. They have been the best birria tacos I have ever had. I will definitely be going back to try more options from the menu and some drinks.“
“The food was good, but it wasn't anything different that you couldn't get at every other Mexican restaurant in town. The chips were served warm and had an excellent snap to them, and the salsa was crisp and tasty but nothing special. The queso was thin and tasty. (I like slightly thicker cheese sauce... and a little spice, which there was none. )Our server, Karlita, seemed to be bothered that we sat in her section. She stopped at our table and would ask us if there was something we wanted as she was walking away, so we couldn't really get the things we asked for previously in a decent fashion. The drinks were fairly prompt, aside from the only one that mattered, which was a simple cup of water for a toddler.I couldn't taste the chorizo in my beef & chorizo burrito, but again, it was still tasty. Their refried beans and rice were good. The fajita burrito was huge! It's smothered in queso sauce and pretty good, but again, it's the same as everywhere else. The whole reason we went to El Paraiso instead of El Super Burrito (which has the best burritos by far!) was to be able to have margaritas. The large margaritas came in a big beer stein rather than a margarita glass and tasted like any margarita mix that you can get at the store. This place is good if you don't like to try anything different than what you're used to.“
“The server wished she was somewhere else that Saturday night. But the food (tacos pastor) was great and interior remodel was nice. It felt clean and open/spacious. I'll return!Parking: The lines indicating parking spots were really hard to see. Because it wasn't terribly busy that night, we squinted, pulled in, and called it "good."“
“WOW, they have the BEST fried tacos. everything we ordered was good but the fried tacos were so full of flavor. my very picky daughter loved them 10/10 will definitely be making this our new Mexican place to visit. the staff was very friendly. so happy they decided to come to CR.“
“They have the most greatest and authentic azada corn tortilla tacos with onion and cilantro. Since I tried them out been a weekly or 2 times a week since to get a few. They now know me by heart and they say no lime first with me which is key due to family allergies.Dietary restrictions: They understand my partners allergies and make sure to not include it on my mine so I don't accidentally poison him with a kiss.“
“Nice place, enjoyed the patio and great server. Food was fine American Mexican kind of food. Seems like more of a happy hour margaritas than a place I would want to have a full meal. Picture of nachos and side of guacamole. Banana and orange margaritas.“
“I absolutely love this restraunt! Where do I start? How about the food, If you are looking for a huge menu of high-quality foods, you've came to the right place! Full of familiar and unique dishes, the menu is perfect for everyone! The food is well priced and if you don't like a certain condiment, you can ask for it to be removed and you can almost always get it taken out! They have a beautiful atmosphere full of fun music, displays of drinks, relaxing colors and a big space. The service is great, they are friendly, helpful, and fast. The tables are distanced and the outdoor area makes it easier to stay safe from Covid-19. This is an amazing restaurant and I bet you will enjoy it!(Edit 10/16/23) i don't even live here anymore, and apparently I'm in the top 20% of Mexican restaurant reviewers in Cedar rapids now? My phone notifications won't stop bugging me about it. Not sure why this review blew up, but it's been about a year now, and I can confirm that the statement still stands, this place is amazing!“
“What a great place to stop on Tuesdays-honestly any day of the week, but Tuesdays offer $1.00 tacos!!!!I had two hard shell fried tacos only meat and cheese and the Mr had three soft shell, meat, cheese, tomato and lettuce. They are nice filled tacos. We are crazy tamale fans and each ordered one as a side. They don’t show on the menu, but just ask your server. We each ordered the jumbo house margaritas! Yummm! We have enjoyed every time we come to Cedar Rapids and have time to stop, they truly are so nice at El Bajio!“
“Our go-to place for great Mexican food. The homemade tamales are amazing. My husband and grandson love their burritos, and my favorite is the chili relleno. They have a nice selection of Mexican sodas, and their pastries are delectable. Be sure to try both their red and green salsa... Made in store and wonderful. If you haven't already, give them a try. You won't be disappointed.“
“The fact that they fed striking laborers from Ingredion during the winter months is enough to get my 100% support. Thank you for supporting the working class backbone of our community. It is of utmost importance that we hold on to the rights of the working class. Thank you Lucita's!“
“I got the steak and chicken burrito my gf got a combo fajita had steak chicken and shrimp all was amazing we couldn't eat it all so 2 meals for us chips and queso was good I wasn't fan of salsa it was cold and tasted like spaghetti sauce but will definitely be back food was “
“Me and my family went here for dinner tonight and we were pleasantly welcomed by Trey who was absolutely amazing he was patient while we were deciding what we were ordering and very friendly when taking our order, it was clean and a very well kept area, Trey did an amazing job and we will definitely be coming “
“I was looking for a good Fajita place and stopped here. I ordered the Chicken & Shrimp Fajitas, which they gave me Chicken & Steak instead. However It was absolutely fantastic! I would totally recommend! Giacomo was also really good! Overall I'll be back!“
“The breakfast burrito was fully loaded and jam packed with that flavor!! Everything was fuego ?? and super delicious!I had a 40 ft trailer and couldn’t park so they even ran it out to me when I pulled up! I really appreciate the customer service! EAT HERE!“
“Came in late. The workers still offered great service and were funny and fun to be around. Asked them to flip on a basketball game on the TV nearest to me and no problem. Usually at restaurants it takes five NASA scientists and an act of Congress to get the channel changed. Not here. Cool setting too. The murals on the wall are awesome. Highly endorse going here.“
