“Solid but nothing to write home about. FYI, this is just a tiny Mexican grocery that also happens to sell tacos. No tables or chairs. Order ahead, pick them up, and eat somewhere else. Anyway, this place is nothing special. It's solid. But the taco trucks out in Ames have better tacos than this place. I've been all over, California probably has the best taco trucks in the country.“

“Food was amazing as was the service. The employees were laughing and joking while putting up Halloween decorations. It just felt like a nice place to be with happy people running it. Great start to our morning on our first wedding anniversary.“

“I came here with family while visiting from out of town. The menu was expansive with plenty of options for adults and kids. I got the quesadilla Verde and it tastes great. The portion size was big and the staff were very friendly. The chips and salsa were fantastic as well. Easy 5 stars from me!“

“Lalos 2 in Dubuque continues to deliver every time. Food came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor, and the portions are solid for the price. The tacos al pastor were especially good—great seasoning, tender meat, and exactly what you hope for when you order them. Staff was friendly, quick, and kept things moving without rushing us. Easy place to relax, eat well, and leave happy. Definitely a go-to when the craving for real Mexican food hits.“
