“One of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever eaten at. The margaritas were outstanding made with fresh fruit juice. All of the food we ordered was amazing and homemade. The staff were wonderful, so nice and accommodating. Prices are higher than a typical Mexican restaurant but completely worth it.“
“I use a rating system of 1-5 for restaurants (took a trip to Galena for the week in early February): 1) Price [1=expensive, 5=inexpensive] = 4 (reasonable prices for dinners) 2) Ambience [1=none, 5=beautiful] = 5 (very much like the décor - very small, intimate place) 3) Service [1=horrible, 5=perfect]: 5 (waiter was extremely attentive, and food and drinks were served extremely quickly, almost like they were reading our minds!) 4) Food/Drinks [1=awful, 5=fantastic]: 5 (had chimichangas al pastor, VERY VERY tasty) OVERALL [Average of above 4 ratings] = 4.75 (5 stars, rounding up)“
“First off, this review is not about food, cocktails, bathrooms, etc since our group did not try them. We were only there to have some beers and chill out. If you're look for the liveliest night life in Galena, then this is your spot. Seems like it stays open to 1am on most nights and because of the "Garage Door" entrance on main street, it draws in quite a few people in the evening that can feel the energy oozing out of this place (compared to the rest of the places on main street). Keep in mind, there is not much energy in Galena's night life so it's not a high bar. In the evening, bottled beer service is fast at the bar. The bartenders are proficient, acknowledge and remember customers. I believe this is a cash only operation. There is pool table, air hockey table, video slots, music and some laser/light effects where people do a little dancing from time to time. Most of the music played is latino and the bar itself has a decent percentage of latino customers. The bar has very high ceilings and a very open feel and nice ambiance as compared to other establishments in the area. There is a very large selection of spirts displayed at the bar but I can not vouch for any cocktails since I was just having bottled beers on my visits. From looking at the place, I don't think I'd stop for food during the day, but this is the coolest place to go in the evenings for a beer or two. Stop in and give it a try if you're in the area.“
“Food is good, amazing margaritas and great service. Would give it a 5 star if it wasn't for the couple of kids working there that come out with their music playing on their phones blaring terrible music over the music they already have on.“
“The service was great. We had the tacos de asada and a torta de pastor. Both were really good. The bolillo for the torta was nice and fresh and the pastor had piña in it which was nice. The sangria was also yummy. If you enjoy spicy, try the red salsa de arbol good stuff.“
