“My three star for service & atmosphere was based solely on today’s visit. We were seated under a TV that wasn’t loud enough for the room but too loud for us sitting beneath it. The waitress really struggled, not sure if she was new or if it was her English. She did seek out help from the bartender who came to our table when she didn’t understand how my husband wanted his drink made. Grateful for that. Food was fabulous! Extra large menu. Always comes out quickly allowing us to meet over lunch.“

“Every time I come back to my hometown I want to stop here for a lunch! I love the food!! They have a broad selection and make great food. I've never had to wait for a seat and service is always fast and friendly. They also have the best, freshest, chips and homemade salsa in town!
Parking: You can park on either side of the building in their large lot.
Wheelchair accessibility: There's a large switchback ramp on one side that worked great for my Dad.“

“This Taco John's has been in Platteville for generations, surviving the K-Mart in which it's parking lot it still stands sentry, guarding the blue light special and radio grill now locked in a maximum security Uhaul storage unit. This Taco John's is so formidable, has such aura and stats that when Taco Bell finally decided to make it's move on Platteville (at the time some dialects called it P-vegas), it could not challenge Taco John alone. The encounter so wrecked Taco Bell that it is left a disfigured abomination, hybrid, sharing organs and vital grease fluids with fellow Yum Brands underling KFC between the Country Kitchen and the ruins of Ed's Cafe.
When I drive through Platteville with my brood, I always stop here for fresh delicious tacos, a taco salad and mexican tator tot disks at an affordable price, served by staff that are attentive enough to help me get extra sauce, but not enough to glare at my children when they repeat the same fart joke 3 times in outdoor voices. A+ Taco John's.“
