Just tried Backyard BBQ for the first time yesterday with my family for lunch, and wow — hands down the best BBQ in Iowa! The brisket and ribs were incredibly tender and packed with flavor, literally falling apart with every bite. The staff was so friendly, and the whole place had an awesome atmosphere. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Backyard BBQ is a great find in Cedar Rapids, offering excellent food in a private, relaxing atmosphere. The ribs are amazing, huge, and fall off the bone. The barbecue sandwiches and pulled pork Sammy are among the best. Sides like the fried rice, perfect coleslaw, fantastic baked beans, and creamy mac & cheese with white cheddar are all done right. They have good daily specials, including the 3 for $5 taco beef briskets. Beyond the food, the location offers activities like Pickleball and a jumpy house area. It is a truly impressive go-to BBQ spot, highly recommended for a great dinner or a nice barbecue lunch.
