While visiting my home town of Cedar Rapids, I got to thinking that I hadn't been to Happy Joe's in over 35 years. I remembered the giant bowls of ice cream hauled out to tables for birthdays and an absolutely loaded Canadian Bacon and Sauerkraut pizza. I decided to get one for nostalgic reasons. Unfortunately, the current rendition of this pizza was only a shadow of what was served years ago. The person who took our order was the most friendly person. The kind of person that really just lights up your day no matter what mood you are in.Ordered a taco pizza and it is sooo tasty. Best taco pizza ever!And the lobby was so nicely decorated too! Just a very welcoming environment overall.I'll definitely be back.Vegetarian options: Made our taco pizza vegetarian with no problem.
