“I think the banana split could use some nuts but it's all 100% Iowan food to the core, and I go as far to say, better than the old Maid-rite on the corner, better than Center Point Jonesy's, and the cheese fries are better than Iowa state fair fries. I was pretty young when I grew up with all of these classic Iowan flavors, but Barker's IS the flavor of my whole childhood and I'm glad I can have it again, exactly like it was. After all this time, I thought I was just getting old and all adults lose their sense of taste.... only thing missing is the Maid_rite chicken noodle soup 😩 and a post it note on the ceiling.”

“My husband & I visited Casa Don Julio on Saturday, May 2, 2026. We were welcomed by 2 of the cutest lil girls with the biggest smiles. They were helping their family to seat patrons and keep the dining room straightened. The dining room was clean and comfortable. We didn't feel crowded and were not overwhelmed by excessive noise. Gabriella was our waitress. She was exceptional. She was very thorough, courteous and attentive. We started with, of course, drinks. My husband had one of his favorite beers on tap and I had the Don Julio Especial margarita. I have to rate this margarita as one of the best I have had. It was delicious! My husband had the beef fajitas and he & I both commented on the fact that they actually used skirt steak that had been seasoned and cooked perfectly. I enjoyed a beef enchilada, cheese enchilada and a chili relleno (with rice & beans, of course). Delicious and generous portions. The queso, salsa and chips were scrumptious. The "heat" wasn't overwhelming....just right (for us). To wrap up, everything was freshly made and absolutely delicious. We highly recommend and we will be back! Thank you to everyone there for their hospitality. 🫶”

“My mom, my boyfriend and I tried out Naso’s yesterday. My mom and I hadn’t been in over a decade despite it being one of my grandpa’s favorite places when he was alive. THE BEST breaded cauliflower I’ve ever had breaded in house and fried to perfection! That alone will definitely bring me back! The pizza was also fantastic and it was even half priced medium pizzas on Tuesday. We were very impressed and we will definitely be back.”

“We got sat right away for lunch on a Sunday at 1:00. The combo appetizer was scrumptious. It had spring spring rolls, shrimp that were lightly breaded and cheese wontons all of it was very scrumptious. I had a honey black pepper chicken which was very decadent and my husband had an orange sesame chicken which he really enjoyed. It was quite. I appreciate that there was music but it was playing in the background. We will definitely return again.”

I see why they have a 5 star rating! Don't make the same mistake I did though! I accidentally went to the "Hawk" vape shop across the street first and it was really really difficult to communicate with the clerk. Would recommend Hawkeye Vapor over Hawk vape shop. This store focuses on vapes, so don't bother if you're looking for a head shop. For my experience today, I'd give Jessica two thumbs way up for being so nice and professional.”

The staff is always welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly. Easily has become our family. You can tell they truly care about the experience of everyone who walks through the door. The owner is amazing—so kind and passionate about the restaurant, which really shows when you get a chance to talk to him. It’s rare to find a place that has great food, a fun atmosphere, and such wonderful people, but MIX nails all three. We recommend it to everyone we know and can’t wait for our next visit!”
