Best Kolaches we’ve had since my grandmother passed. Can’t wait to try other creations!

There is so much to love about Anh’s! I have a major sweet tooth and nothing found in big chain stores compares to her baked goods. She makes it super easy to see her menu for the day on FB and IG, and even takes orders over messenger so I can pick up later in the day without worrying something will be sold out. I have to shout out the front staff too, they’re always so kind and welcoming! My favorite treats so far: Korean cream cheese bun, cinnamon roll, cowboy cookies, and extra delicious pistachio cream bun. Also, try the shokupan!

I grew up in a Czech family. My mother and grandmother made kolaches all the time.
I was shocked at the price of $5 for a single kolache. But, it had been so long since I had one, I decided to bite the bullet.
When we got them home and tried to eat them, they were not baked all the way & were doughy. We ended up - at a cost of $5 - only eating the center where the filling was.
We will definitely not be going back.

I do recommend Anh’s Bread Therapy; it has a cozy “small shop” feel, excellent quality, and some of the friendliest service I’ve experienced.
I’ve visited twice now (once a few months ago and once recently), and both times were wonderful. Their breads are incredibly fresh, and the desserts are delicious. They seem to keep the menu rotating, which makes every visit exciting because there’s always something new to try.
The customer service deserves special mention. The woman at the front is fantastic; she explains everything with enthusiasm, never rushes you, and makes you feel welcome. The chef clearly pours her heart into the food, and you can taste it in every bite.
Most recently, I had their Ube Burnt Basque Cheesecake, and it was honestly melt-in-your-mouth good. I’ve eaten in major cities across the world, and it’s rare to find something this good in the Cedar Rapids area. Truly impressive!
My only suggestion: for breads with fillings, it would be amazing to see some with savory options like chicken or beef. I think that would pair perfectly with their style.

Amazing!! What a treat! Everything about this tea and bakery shop was wonderful. I felt like I was in the British Bake-off Show because of the variety and quality. The black salted caramel tea was amazing.

10/10..From the minute you walk in to Anh’s, you know it’s special. From the wonderful aroma, to the warm staff everything was perfect. My husband got the coconut bun, and after the first bite he said “Wow!” The ube basque burnt cheesecake was extraordinary. Do yourself a favor and visit Anh’s!

One of my new favorite bakery’s in the Cedar Rapids area. The staff is so unbelievably kind and I love going in every week to buy a fresh loaf of sourdough bread.

We vacationed in the Cedar Rapids area. I was wanting to purchase Kolaches to bring back to my sister and for my kids to enjoy. Someone working at the NewBo market when talking about Kolaches sent me Anh’s way. We stopped by the quaint bakery and Anh was so kind. She didn’t have any on hand but set 6 aside for us to get on the way home back to Nebraska the next day. We also purchased a slice of Pistachio yogurt cheesecake and Gingerbread cake. Those were just as delicious as the Kolaches. Anh’s kindness alone would make me shop there frequently if I lived close. Don’t miss this stop while in Cedar Rapids! 💗

This was my third time or so here. There is always something different! Today the treat I picked was Ube cheesecake. This was absolutely delicious!!! Creamy yet cake like, the perfect consistency. Every time I come, the staff is so nice and can tell you in detail about each sweet. I always come back.

A magical experience! We were delighted to participate in a traditional tea ceremony with Anh and it was beyond lovely. Grateful for the sharing of her wisdom, passion and culture. What a gift she is to our community! 💕

This is such a cute little cafe! My husband and I were looking for a little treat and this is the place! The coconut bread bun was so so good, I recommend asking to get it warmed up! We also had a cherry kolache it was also very delicious! I liked to dip the coconut bread into the cherry filling, mm my mouth is watering thinking about it!
The service was great and the atmosphere was really chill! We will be back when we are in the area!

We stopped in on Saturday after breakfast a few doors down and wanted to check out the bakery. It was busy. Service was fast and friendly. 40+ years experience eating kolaches (grandmother's, Kolache Festival, etc.) and these were by far, the BEST I've ever had. Spouse agreed. We had the apple and the berry - and they were warm too! Microwaved one the next day and it was just as delicious. Butterscotch pudding was lightly flavored and a refreshing treat. We'll be back!
