Why have a business if you guys never return phone calls for booking?

Love this spot! My fiancé and I have hit it up a couple times for tacos (and treats) after wedding related meetings over our lunch hour and it's very, very solid. The tacos are a great value and the tortillas are the star of the show. Come hungry, though, because their baked goods are amazing, they have seasonal specials, and there is no chance you will leave without some bread or at least one sweet treat. The ambiance is nothing special, but it's a perfectly good location for a casual lunch in a part of town where there are not very many food options. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

This review is for their cinnamon rolls only. My dear Dad stopped by here last week because wanted to buy me a couple of these rolls, so I can't speak to the inside/aesthetics of the establishment from my personal experience. The cinnamon rolls are very big and very good. I do think they were made-that-day fresh when Dad bought them, but by the next day the remaining cinnamon roll was pretty dried out. I'm the weirdo who eats these for dessert, not breakfast. Had I eaten it the morning of day 2, maybe I would have had better luck. Into the microwave it went. The cinnamon rolls have very little icing on them. Personally, if there had been a little more icing I don't think they would have gotten so dried out. Hy-Vee is generous with their frosting and I honestly prefer them to the variety at The Bakery of CR. I definitely plan to come back to see everything else they have to offer, including their tacos. 4/5 stars for the lack of frosting and dryness of the cinnamon rolls. Good value for the $, though! Recommend.

When his place opened up it was a five-star place, recently though it's been hit or miss. Often they are out of products, which is a good thing because then you know that they're making them fresh, however you would think that they would know that they should make more if the demand is there often enough that they are sold out. The pastries have been pretty hit or miss lately as well, the ones that are supposed to be soft are dry the ones that are supposed to be dry are soft, it's just all in all been hit or miss recently. I think they need to get out of the location that they're in as well and have more exposure, because the products that they have a great when they're on point, but in the location that they're at they're not going to be able to continue the initial drive that they had and the product will suffer in the end.

Have only stopped in twice - too much time between the two visits to feel like I have a perfect grasp of all they have to offer but BOTH time I was impressed. The variety, quality, value all impressive for a classic, local bakery. It's not easy to come by anymore and provides a sense of nostalgia. The first time we got a variety of classics - elephant ear, fruit filled turnover, danish and the fresh tortilla (try them!) + probably more. Loved making quesadillas with the tortillas at home - they were the best we've had in ages. This weekend I was sharing goodies so the loaf was perfect (though I ate half all on my own before it made it to their house! ). Delish warmed up on day two with a mug of coffee. Still haven't tried their lunch offerings but I MUST soon - looks so fresh, simple and delish. Check these guys out for lunch (and let me know!) or homestyle baked goods done right!

Amazing! I worked in an old bakery in high school this is quality pastry like I have never had before. Excellent, fresh the people who waited on me were super friendly. Oh, and while I was getting some of the amazing pastry, I ordered a chorizo breakfast burrito and wow was is top notch. Highly recommend.

Great tasting bakery products! Employes need to keep in mind that we can see them as they take our money and then box up our bakery with their bare fingers. Not very appetizing. That's what the tongs and papers are for.

I got the pork quesadilla. It was so good and the workers are incredibly nice! Also, I can't wait to try the cinnamon crunch bread I bought!

What a great find. Seems hidden but found this place from all the Yelp reviews. Amazing pastries and the giant cinnamon bun alone is worth the visit. Great tacos! You can tell it's all made in-house and it's fresh. I had one of their specials for the day, grilled cheese and tomato soup. The soup was really good and tasty but the something was a little off with the grilled cheese. It had a weird oil taste to it so I couldn't really eat it. The interior is average and no frills. They have a separate dining room with plenty of tables and chairs. The staff there was nice and very friendly. Highly recommend!

This is a hidden gem! My husband and I were traveling thru and thought we'd try the tacos.. absolutely fabulous. It's clear they use fresh ingredients ( including tortillas they make on site) and take great care in preparing them. The reason this bakery is a little off the beaten path is because the bakery is affiliated with the company next door , which sells baking equipment. The bakery gives ABS(American Baking Systems)an opportunity to showcase their Equiptment in a working bakery . The baked goods they sell all day and the lunches are excellent!

Went here with some co-workers. What a great place with authentic Mexican food. The desserts and baked goods were outstanding and you cannot best the price. Highly recommend!

I really wish I knew about The Bakery sooner! If you love pastries and tacos - this is your place! The inside of the building is purely functional with the bakery/ordering counter on one side and a small dining room on the other. The options are endless when it comes to the fresh pastries offered and all of them are an incredible value! Here's just an example of what they have: Concha Elephant Ear Berry Turnovers Pecan rolls Giant 2lb cinnamon roll Croissant Various breads Pie Cakes They don't have many cookie options, but have a small section of pie and cake by the slice. All of the pastries/treats ranged from $0.65-$5! But wait - there's more! The Bakery also offers a small menu of Mexican classics including burritos and tacos all on homemade flour tortillas! You can even buy a dozen flour tortillas to take home with you (and you definitely want to do this!) I ordered two street style tacos and recommend the carnitas - they were delicious! The Bakery is a hidden gem that is not to be missed! Bring $10 and walk away with a taco lunch and a few amazing pastries!

What a neat place! They have a small variety of mexican dishes on the menu. I got chicken tacos and my mom got steak. Both fantastic. Cilantro and onions, just like it should be. They have a large assortment of bakery items. Some unusual and also typical favorites. They had samples of the giant cinnamon rolls and it was delicious! There is also local honey and other locally made items here. We ate in the dining room which is odd because it is across the hall from where you order your food. This was actually a nice touch. It was quiet in there, clean and kept up well. Upon speaking to the owner we were informed of a deli addition coming soon. I cant wait to try it! These people deserve your business and you deserve to try their creations! Pleasant surprise. I thought the prices were very fair.

So I heard about this place from a co-worker who brought in massive cinnamon rolls to work. They were delicious. This place opens too late for me to swing by for breakfast but I did run over for lunch. This is a large building with a bakery up front that you can order from. They also have made to order selections. It's easy to miss from the road so keep your eyes peeled. I think there was also an area to sit and eat but I just ordered it for carry out. They had massive cakes and breads available on display in the front bakery area. It's definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and like exploring your options.
