We went to Bo Mac’s to get tenderloins as a last hurrah before they close.(best tenderloin in town) We go to pay with cash, and also went to the car to grab more cash to make the 20% tip… when my partner came back in, we waited for 10+ minutes confused, but waited… we grab the waitress again to ask for the change so that we could add the rest of the tip onto it, and she pulls out our money from her pocket(with receipt still unprocessed), and proceeds to say “I’m confused?” And we say, oh we’re just waiting for our change to tip… she then goes to an area where there was no cash register and stands there a bit, before asking another employee if they have a $5 on them.
It was all very scummy. I would understand if she processed our payment and thought the rest was tip I would understand, but she didn’t process it at all and kept multiple folded up receipts in her pocket. After it all happen, all we could think was “if theyre closing due to financial reasons it makes sense..” we never got a receipt back showing that payment was processed and she didn’t go to the cash register. It really did seem as though she was pocketing it. But so many people showed up to support the last couple of days—she was goi no to make great tips regardless.
Do hope this is not the case, but it’s just really hard to deny.

Unfortunately the food here was mixed. The shrimp was way overcooked, tough and dry. The tenderloin however, was excellent and cook correctly. The soup was fantastic. The place was virtually empty on a Tuesday night and the service was slow and we were the only ones in there.

Went in there to get some food had five tables total in there and the waitress acted like she had had to take my order and hurry. Never asked what how I liked my burger or what kind of cheese.. it came so overcooked that it was burnt hard on one side. Use to be a decent place.

It was hard to decide what to get because everything sounded amazing. You can’t go wrong with the Creole wrap and sweet potato fries with honey! My partner had the loaded fries and potato pancakes. Everything was absolutely delicious. It’s an easy going atmosphere right by the Czech Village. It was clean and comfortable. Highly recommend!

Food was good but would caution folks not to order a glass of wine without looking at the price. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay; it came in a wine glass filled about 1/2" with wine. When I got my bill, the glass was priced at $12; this has to be the highest price I have paid in the Cedar Rapids area ever. I verified the price and inquired as to what the wine was, I was given name of the label. And I found out that a local grocery store sold this same label for $13.99/bottle...I would say Bo Mac's makes quite a profit on this wine. And I know I will never purchase another glass of wine from this establishment again!

A friend of mine took me to Bo Mac's . My first time there and I loved it. A friend of mine took another friend and myself. And She paid for all our meals. I really enjoyed our time together there. I hope to come back soon. I can't tell you what I ate but I can say it was good.

Hands down the best tenderloin I've had! The chicken tenders and sweet potato fries are also amazing. The breading on both the tenders and tenderloin stay crispy while being delivered and even as leftovers the next day! My husband and Dad will be in town tomorrow so we'll stop in for a late lunch! I look forward to trying the fried green tomatoes and I tell everyone about Bo Mac's

Just had Bo Mac’s for the first time and will gladly return again! Service was fantastic - we were instantly greeted and had multiple staff members checking on us. The tenderloin was super delicious and crispy (not soggy like they sometimes get elsewhere). The Creole chicken wrap was super fresh and the chicken was juicy. We also got the Tandori Flatbread to start - amazing! It looks super fancy and tastes incredible. Perfect for a nice summer evening or when you want elegant food in a more homey environment.
Pretty chill place. Great food. Great customer service. Manager/Owner came over and asked how thigs are.

The loaded fries were AMAZING. I wish I would've just ordered a larger size of those. I had them on the side of the smoked turkey breast/swiss/avocado sandwich, which left something to be desired. It was cold cut sandwich, like Subway. But my friend said her fried green tomato sandwich was great! So maybe just do a better job of ordering than I did :)

Seriously delicious!! This was my first time in Cedar Rapids and I heard that pork tenderloins were a delicacy here so I gave it a try and it didn’t disappoint. It was incredibly juicy, crispy, and wasn’t over breaded. My Dad ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich which I thought was also one of the best chicken sandwiches that I’ve had at a restaurant like this. It’s also very affordable and if I lived in the area I know that this would be a regular spot of mine. So if you’re in the area, I couldn’t recommend this place more.
