Very pricey for burned hash browns and tough rib eye steak. Long wait for our order-over an hour.

Love this place, but we arrived at 5:15 on Sat 9/5 and you were closed with no explanation on door or website. Why no notice about closure? Drove out there only to be disappointed.

Amazing food and service! My go to for fine dining.

This is my 1st review of a restaurant ever!!! I feel I had to make a review because this was the worst experience I don't even know where to start! This place is not even close to what it used to be and 100 percent over priced!!! Service took forever but they were pushing us out at the same time. The server took 20 min to come back each time to tell us they didn't have this thing or the other. Then my mom got her potatoes that tasted reheated. Then the server talked me into getting the tenderloin steak instead of a cheaper option and that it was supposed to be so great. So I ordered it medium......It comes to the table very rare and chewy ? among other things (probably because they were in a hurry to get out of there). I sent it back and said I didn't want anything else because everyone was almost done eating. The manager comes over and says we'll take some stuff off your bill. We get the bill and she took half off my steak. I said why would I pay for half and she replies if I take it off your bill I'll have to charge you for the free relish Trey! So I go confront the manager all she did was stutter, lie and say "i said I'd take some off your meal" because she knew she was wrong and you could tell she sent this new server over to say all this but I went and talked to her face to face. She finally agreed to take my steak off. This is just the beginning....So many more issues like my son not getting his drink the whole meal and us waiting patiently for an hr and a half but this would be a novel so I hit the main points. And As we're walking an employee says I hope they don't come back and we we're nothing but respectful through this ordeal. Been going here since I can remember and will never be back!!!!! Terrible Terrible Terrible!!!!

Poor, food came at different times for people. Entrance needs to be remodeled, steps were bad to get in.

Save your hard earned money and go to other steak places in town. This USED to be the place to go as I live only about 6 miles from it. Took out of state friends (4 of us). Called in advance to make reservations and message said only needed for parties 6 and more. So we went and told 40 minute wait. No problem. We sat at the bar and me and gf got our drinks right away. The husbands waited and finally had to ask for beers. An hour later, we were seated. Several other tables were seated and water glasses filled. We waited. FInally had to ask for water and response was "oh, no one has waited on you yet? I guess I will have to take your table" Wow, sorry we are an inconvenience. Still no apologies for the wait to GET a table either. Food was okay but steak was very small and for the price of the meal, we have been better off at the Butcher Block. The whole ordeal was over 4 hours. Yeah, I should have said something but everyone seemed stressed and confused most of the night. NOTE: This was during covid and only HALF of the tables were full so it was NOT that busy. Unless they change management again, we will get our steaks and shrimp in Cedar rapids from now on.
