Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen

First time at Cheddar’s and I have to say, they did a fine job with the food.

I never expected a restaurant to serve complimentary croissants to customers. Those croissants were light and flaky, excellent quality overall. I didn’t expect the sweet glaze on them; I thought it was okay but felt the croissants would be better without them (I usually prefer my croissants savory).

My order of bourbon glazed salmon and shrimp was delicious. The salmon was cooked just right, flaky and tender, not dry at all. The shrimp were tasty too, nice and plump.

As for the sides, I enjoyed the red beans and rice. I thought the dish had a good amount of salt. The pork helped amplify the dish too. The broccoli cheese casserole was pretty good; not too cheesy and fairly tender broccoli. I just wish that dish was hotter. It felt a bit lukewarm.

Our waitress was very nice and attentive. She did an excellent job helping us with our food.

Overall, I’ll definitely keep Cheddar’s on my list of restaurants to revisit. With food and customer service this good, they more than earned my respect.

Our server Emily provided the best service we have ever received by far! She was great with our kids, professional, and attentive despite having several other tables. We had a great dinner and will be returning to Cheddars for sure!

The host was not at the front door. Other staff walked by and didn't speak or welcome us. After 5 minutes the host showed up and sat us. The server was great. The was ok.

The food is mostly decent but nothing special. Service is historically slow. The food came out hot though.

The hostess Kelly was an absolute sweetheart, making sure we were taken care of and looked after even on a super busy friday night, updated us on our meals and filled our drinks without even needing to ask, will be coming again just for her!
