China Inn Restaurant Reviews
The food was terrible. I ordered orange chicken, fried rice and eggrolls. The very first bite of the chicken was pure grisle. The rest of the chicken wasn't much better, with the texture reminding me more of chicken that was leftover after all the good parts were cut off. It was either crunchy or tough, and the orange sauce wasn't orange - it was more like some thick, congealed brown sauce. The rice wasn't "fried rice". still the best place in the city for my Chinese food. I like the healthy choice. A relative from New York City had something vegetarian and she was happy. Ordered at high noon on Saturday and it was here by 12:30.

China Inn Restaurant is a popular spot that has been a favorite for over a decade. The staff is fantastic, and the food is amazing, with a wide range of options to suit every taste. Decorated in a unique "stuck in an Era" style, the restaurant offers dishes such as Garlic spare rib tip dinner, beef lo mein, orange chicken, and sesame chicken, all of which are delicious. The owner is very kind and attentive, always remembering regular customers and making them feel welcome. The food is consistently good, with favorites like rangoons and the Emperor's chicken, which is crunchy, flavorful, and just spicy enough without burning the mouth. Many customers appreciate the healthy choices, including vegetarian options, and note that the food arrives quickly, often within a short time after ordering. The restaurant provides quick service, hot food, and a kid-friendly atmosphere. Prices are reasonable, and the location offers ample seating and easy parking. Despite occasional issues like raw tofu or veggies not being cut, overall, China Inn remains a reliable and enjoyable dining option in Cedar Rapids.
