The food is very good, and prices are reasonable. Staff is friendly. Had dinner there 4 times while visiting Cedar Rapids. Local beers and liquor. Pleasant atmosphere.

Went to a graduation gathering here, and the service was excellent! The food was good/OK. Atmosphere was fun - as expected. The cotton candy tower was a GREAT way to cap off the gathering/evening!!
The food & service were both amazing! Ryan the general manager did a great job with food recommendations since this was our 1st time there. The brussel sprouts were out of this world. I’ve included pics (sorry a couple bites taken) before I thought to take a pic. We will definitely be back. ?

My boyfriend and I were on our way back from Iowa City, one of several trips we've had to make and each time we've looked for somewhere new to eat that niether of us have been to. This time we chose to stop in Cedar Rapids at the Chophouse. Best choice by far!! It had a great atmosphere, friendly staff, food was hot, fresh, fast, amazing and filling.We had the pretzels for an appitizer, SO good! We then had the steak sandwhich and barbeque sandwhich, both very good and each came with a choice of a side, several to choose from. While there we had the great pleasure in meeting and talking with Ryan, the Manager. Even though Im sure he had plenty of other things to do, Ryan took the time to actully really talk with us. Aftter asking why we were in the area & we told him, his response could have been oh sorry to hear that, now are you ready to order BUT that was not his response. For that Ryan, I just want to say Thank you. Thank you for the person you are. Your amazing character shines through not only through you but your business as well. Keep up the amazing job and the great tasting food coming. Drinks are great tasting as well!! I HIGHLY recommend the Chophouse!!A New Fan,Cherrie

Delicious food! 2nd time here and very happy with the food, service and cool atmosphere! Had New York strip, fries and asparagus, all was very good! Bonus for me, they had a deal on shrimp which is great, nice and plump shrimp with very good flavor! Wife had lobster butter shrimp pasta, very flavorful and good size portion! Will definitely come back here again!! Also had the millstream pistachio beer which was surprisingly good!!

We had a family function here with a large party, and it wa ks handled very well. The food was tasty, the service friendly, and the atmosphere rustic and inviting.
This was our second visit to Chophouse Downtown, and it was as great as the first! It's especially nice that our kiddos enjoy it, as they can be picky. Definitely splurge and get the cotton candy, a fun treat for everyone!
Held an event for over 30 people in the private room a couple weeks back. One bartender, food was cold, prior coordination was sub par. Trinity was excellent and none was her fault except poor management and execution of our event.I do not recommend this venue.
