The server was lovely. The chef must have been new. The atmosphere was exactly as they market it - casual dining environment with fine dining options and prices. I ordered a medium rare filet. It came out medium well done. (Very little light pink deep in the middle). They replaced it with a different cut of steak, but still charged the price of the filet. We were told a side salad was $3, but were charged $4.

Our waitress was amazing! We went on a week day around 4PM so it was nice and quiet. They have these nice back cushions for the booths, dim lighting which is always ideal for a nice date, and they were playing GREAT music. I will definitely be back!!

Really disappointing overall. Neat looking place but my ham, cheese, and bacon omelet was the worst I’ve ever had. It was just an egg patty folded in half, decorated with ham and bacon along the “rim”. My wife got the wrong order so it’s hard to judge that one. The service and staff in general just seemed like they didn’t care at all. Never asked if we needed anything, didn’t offer leftover boxes, and after sitting at the table for 40 minutes waiting for the check we had to go find someone and remind them we kinda needed that. Just really a bummer because the menu looked good. The staff (kitchen and service) just obviously couldn’t care less and I couldn’t wait to get out of there.

I do not come to Cedar Rapids often, like once a year. This was a quiet place with courteous staff and the food was amazing. Had the Arnold Palmer Burger. Delicious!

We took our niece out and she picked this place. It was a good choice. We were asked if we wanted to eat inside or outside. I think the only outside tables were out front and totally in the sun. Glad we ate inside. I'm not sure what the decorating vibe is. The carpet was a giraffe print and the wallpaper looked like the Matrix. There were some vintage looking French prints on the wall. Regardless, the service and food was good. We tried the cheese curds (kind of pedestrian), the Brussels sprouts (huge and delicious), the smashburgers (doubles and stacked high), the waffle fries (perfectly fried), and a salad. Let me tell you about that salad. It had sliced strawberries, picked shaved rhubarb, dried apricots cherry tomatoes and burrata on top of a lettuce mix. Luckily, our server questioned whether or not the dressing had been tossed with the salad (new person in the kitchen, she said) so she brought me the strawberry vinaigrette on the side. (She was correct, there was no dressing.) Totally appreciated that attention to detail. Best salad I've had in a while! I would go back!
