Great service, fantastic food and a cool atmosphere. Lots of photos of CR from the 60s.

Lindsey was an amazing hostess/server. Very attentive and helpful. She turned a 4⭐ experience into a 5⭐.

Second time we’ve tried coming here. Tex Mex shipwreck is soupy and looks like dog food with half a cup of sour cream and salsa thrown on top. CR omelette didn’t have anything except a handful of fully sliced jalapeños and potatoes (if you read the menu it’s nothing advertised). We sat down got served our food with no silverware and had to walk up and get it ourselves.

Maybe lunch is better but breakfast is horrible.

Wish I took a picture but I couldn’t even eat it so it was taken away quickly.

I had the breakfast quesadilla without meat today and it was amazing. I will be back for it again. This wasn't my first visit to Cruz and I'm glad my friend suggested it again.

Vegetarian options: Vegan options available. Simple modification make many dishes vegetarian.

The promise of "Breakfast served all day" drew us in. We were pleased to discover this "new" (to us) diner/restaurant that provides a delicious meal and friendly efficient service. The simple Denver omelet I enjoyed was tender and light. An even spread of filling, well diced. Served with my choices of fresh fruit and an English muffin. All very good. The. Chicken fried steak my dining partner enjoyed was declared the best he'd had in Cedar Rapids. It's true, the steak was tender, and the cream gravy was flavorful. I had become used to anticipating gummy flavorless country gravy typically served. But this rose above the expectation. Sunny side up eggs were perfectly done. I believe it won't be long before we return to this sunny dining room that serves excellent coffee.

People behind us got a table ahead of us. People seated after us were served before us. Food was not hot (room temperature). Pancakes were over cooked.

I loved this place! Very laid back atmosphere, and the staff were very polite. First, the coffee was really good! I drink it black and it was fresh.
The food was awesome, with great portions, and I loved the toast. Shipwreck was my breakfast item I ordered, and it could have been split 3 ways.

Good food and service, I guess there just wasn't anything to push it over the edge into 5 star territory for me
