Fun place to try. Been there several times. Last time there we bought a bottle of wine and after purchasing she said there is an 8.00 corking fee. Seems a bit high but we paid it. However we won't do that again. I could see if there were music or something to entertain you. And can't say the owner was overly friendly.

This is a “modern” wine place. You usually only see self serve wine or drink places like this in big cities. Even though I recommend this location, I’d suggest management get more wine selections that are not dominated by reds. All of the wines they had last time were not sweet and I think it’s assumptious that all of your customers want bitter reds.

My husband and I came in for the first time on a Thursday night to have an after-dinner glass of wine and check the place out. When we arrived, there were five customers and one employee "working" (actually, looking at her phone). The employee did not greet us or ask to help. We finally asked for a glass of wine. She told us we had to put money on a card and serve ourselves from the wine machines. So we had her put $20 on a card. The employee didn't offer any other explanation of the "serve yourself" concept, instructions on how to use the machines, or any suggestions regarding the wines, or even tell us where to find the wine glasses. (She eventually did point out that the wine glasses were on shelves behind the wine server machines after we asked, and we figured out the rest on our own.) For the entire hour or so we were there, the employee sat in the back looking at her phone until we were ready to leave and I asked for my credit card back. When she rang up the transaction, I actually laughed to see a line on the receipt for a tip, which I left blank because of the complete lack of service provided. The next morning, upon review of my bank account, I saw she added a nice little 25% tip for herself after we left. (I have confirmed this with my bank.) We will not be back, and I do not recommend this place to anyone.

Great concept. BUT the person at the counter provided little to no assistance even when asked. As we were on our way out the door we observed her standing/watching us leave. We forgot our credit cards and no attempt was made for her to come get us, even as we stood outside waiting to cross the street. No other patrons in the store. Customer service can make or break even a great concept. I will be happy to spend my money elsewhere.
