East China Buffet

TRIED THIS 5 YEARS AGO AND DID NOT CARE FOR IT. BUT TRIED IT 4 MONTHS AGO AND SEVERAL TIMES AFTER AND I THINK IT IS THE BEST IN TOWN BY FAR ! I ALWAYS GET MONGOLIAN BEEF AND NO ONE IN TOWN IS BETTER THAN THIS. THAT IS WHAT I AM AN EXPERT ON. MY DAUGHTER HOWEVER TRIES MANY OTHER DISHES AND SAYS THE SAME THING. THE PORTIONS ARE MUCH BIGGER THAN ANYWHERE ELSE AND COST A LOT LESS. USED TO GO TO HYVEE ALL THE TIME BEFORE THEY STARTED MAKING MONGOLIAN ONIONS INSTEAD OF BEEF AND COS

New ownership, food much better! Crab rangoon has filling now! Give them a try! Sweet and Sour chicken, thumbs up, lo mein yummy. I'm going to try something different tonight.

I think this is under new management, and possibly a name change to A2 Asian. Whatever the case may be, my family was entirely satisfied with our experience here tonite. The food portions were good, plate presentation was nice; and the taste was spot on.

I ordered a Mongolian beef dinner to go. I'm not sure what this is... but it's not that. It's more like sweet &;sour strips of crap with huge chunks of white onion. And it smells of fish & has some weird gritty texture. My egg roll is under done. I haven't eaten here in 4 years because last time there was a huge chunk of black hair the size of a moustache in my chicken. Absolutely will not be back. Ever.

The crab ragoons were gross. Had a weird taste and not much filling at all. My daughter had orange chicken but wasn't very good either. Weird smell. Def will choose Hy-vee Chinese or China Inn on 1st Ave over this place. This was our first time trying this place.
