We have never been in the place up until a couple years ago. Our new office was near by so we started coming in for lunch. Lunch specials were decent priced and came out hot and fast. The service is always friendly and pleasant. We LOVE the food here- it's really tasty and they do a great job on the plating too. For being as busy as it was, our waitress did a fantastic job! Food was great, about average prices for most sit down restaurants nowadays, and would definitely go back. I know Cedar Rapids has way too many Mexican restaurants, but this is definitely a good one!
My son’s 15th Birthday on Cinco De Mayo so we always expect busy and a wait. Not this year! El Paraiso was top notch from the moment we walked in and sat down, they make home made guacamole right at tables, pour xtra tequila in margs, queso yum, food ordered and came quickly as busy as they were with other bigger tables, all food made to order and amazing, fried ice cream and birthday serenade by staff. Service A+, This is why we love this place and will always go back.
