Famous Dave's Bar-B-Que (To Go Only)

Famous Dave's used to be pretty fair Q. Not nearly as good as Smokey D's in Des Moines but few are. They apparently were bought out by a Canadian company who in Cedar Rapids is selling Famous Dave's to go out of another restaurant with no FD signage at all. Poor Dave. :-(The food was perhaps the saddest Q I ever had. Tiny portions of sides and meat. The burnt ends did not appear to have been smoked at all. Lots of fat that was not broken down.I would not go here again if they paid me.

Very mean waste of time

Order ribs ( burnt) and pork only. Got a pork sandwich with a gross pile of cole slaw on top. Mac and cheese was dry and nasty. The beans were certainly not Famous. The only plus was the staff. They were friendly and courteous. Would not go back for any of Famous Daves food.

They should not serve Famous Dave's because they don't put any effort into it. Maybe they don't want people to eat Famous Dave's and only order their food. This was the worst. The corn seems like it was days old mac and NO cheese was not good. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

Terrible. Order took way longer than promised. They messed up the order and the food taste/quality wasn't even good. For this price you can literally go almost anywhere else.

Kid-friendliness: Kids meals mac and cheese were gross, kids didn't even eat it.

Classic famous daves bbq...brisket was great, burnt ends were fire, wedges were awsumm....just what I expect from daves, never disappoints...dont believe some of the reviews, find out for yourself

Love Famous Dave's. They have such a variety and we have never had long to wait to get in as they have a variety of seating available.

BBQ was really good. It is take out only, but presentation was nice

I just moved to the area and ordered here once with the 1 meat combo, today I tried the 3 meat combo and literally paid $30 for 1 peice of the smallest chicken leg 1 rib and 6 pieces of burnt ends that weren’t even burnt. The pricing and the food you’re getting doesn’t make sense. If I’m paying for $30 dollars worth of food regardless of its BBQ it should be a decent portion. You get your food thrown in a box and it looks disheveled and unappetizing, this will be my last order.

They gave bbq coated brisket when we ordered burnt ends… definitely won’t order from their ever again. shame shame! ????

was really great food tonight brought the kids out after my daughter's concert at school very pleased with the service and waitress

Hubby and I both ended up feeling light headed and sick after eating our food that we got from here this afternoon. The amount of food was worth the $41 plus tax that we paid but definitely not coming back after getting sick. The hours of not feeling good was not worth the money spent. So much for our anniversary dinner being part of a pleasant evening.
