Walked in to no greeting as a first time patron. Was ready with drink order and served promptly. No food suggested even when only 5 people in bar. Servers instead talked with friends at end of bar. Ordered second drink and server took large bills and added to pile of change. Drinks were an odd amount leaving 68 cents twice? Server still did not engage so went next door. Would not try again.

Amazing staff! Great food! Every time! Literally Everything on the menu is fantastic!
I will never be back. I handed to bartender my cash payment. She said we didn’t pay her for food. Sorry, i was waitress. I counted it back. I gave her $18 CASH tip. She approached my boyfriend when I was in bathroom and said we didn’t pay her for food. When I got back I said to her I gave u $87.00 for a $69.00 tab. She said leave it on bar next time. Well, then someone could have taken it. How rude. I would advise management to make sure your bartenders are not stealing from you. I will never be back! Dishonesty I won’t tolerate! Hire better staff!!

I’m not the person to write reviews but I have to write this one. This place was actually horrible. Came in expecting a friendly awesome Iowa environment and right when we started talking to our waitress she was being very rude for no reason. I don’t know her name but she had black hair and was short. The food was also terrible. She said everything was “homemade” when it obviously wasn’t. The chips were so bland with no salt or flavor and the salsa was meh. My food came out with not that great of portions and everything was meh. Would highly not recommend. Terrible.

Don’t get me wrong food is good. But the black haired server on the other hand is the worst ever. I have never ever in my life don’t a review except for today because i want people to know this. Food is alright but it could’ve been helpful if the waiter wanted to suggest some options for me and not roll her eyes at me. I’m not telling anyone how to do their job but if you want people like me to come back fire that girl and never hire anyone like her. black hair short girl works late shifts.

We live and Marion and had only been here once. We went on a Sunday for lunch and the place was nearly empty. We like the server and the atmosphere, music and food. The food was a bit high for a bar for sure. When the bill came they wanted to add a 4% charge for using a credit card. The 2 egg rolls we got were $10.49 so you think they could afford to not charge extra for using a credit card. We purposely visit a place LESS when they charge to use a credit card. We used to visit the Starlight Room 2 times a month and now we only go about 2 times a year. If you can not afford to accept a method of payment then do not be in business. The egg rolls were already $10.49 which is a lot. I do not think most people would notice if they were $10.99 and then you would not need to appear to petty to customer and leave them feeling sour when they pay. And at 4% the restaurant is profiting off this scheme as most credit cards charge the restaurant betwwen 2.5% and 3%. Now we will go less often because of this policy.
