I used to go to this place often, but the interior looks the same as it did 25 years ago. It is in SERIOUS need of an update.I got a salad the last time I went there and it was OK. I wouldn't get it again, but I can't speak on the rest of the food.I got a cocktail and it was terrible. Had to have the bartender fix it.Our waitress was VERY nice. Only part of the visit that was good.

Love going to the Irish Democrat! I came here for a lunch with my mom and the service was great! (As usual) Food came out fast and hot. Highly recommend the Irish potatoes and cheese wantons! They also have amazing sandwiches, I've never had food here I didn't like.

We were in Cedar Rapids for our granddaughter's volleyball tournament and went there with our daughter and son -in-law. My Reuben was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meal.
We took a big group in here tonight to celebrate. Our group was well mannered but definitely a challenge to serve, esp on a Saturday night. The staff were rock stars getting us taken care of very well. I honestly was not super impressed with the food, but prices were great, and service was excellent. I'll definitely be back to try some other choices, if for no other reason than the service was good enough that it deserves another shot for sure.

The Philly was the best I've had in awhile. Stuffed mushrooms? Absolute gas. Chicken tenders, ribs, fries, cheese fries, honey mustard...literally every bite of every single thing ordered was on point! Service was perfect, she checked on us, refilled drinks, helped me decide on the entree. Definitely coming back.
Service was good. Beef sandwich was bland. Needed more onions and hot peppers.

I tried something different than I normally get. I tried the balsamic salmon. It was sub-par. The salmon was overcooked, and the asparagus was practically raw. Stick with their standard bar food - it's normally awesome!
