Want to try another thing that is uniquely Iowan? Get a tenderloin sandwich here at Joensy's. The large tenderloin sandwich is a beast of a meal, but they are fried fresh to order and just so perfect. Even tho the buns are large, the tenderloin dwarfs them. A little challenging to eat but well worth it! The criss cut fries here will forever be my favourite. I feel no one does them as well as Joensy's! The front staff are wonderful and can definitely help walk you through...
Not quite what I expected!
The waitress was the best, extremely nice and helpful. The food was disappointing. First of all, it was slightly warm. I ordered sweet potato fries, and they were barely warm.
I was all set to bite into a hot sandwich.
I'll give it another try, and hopefully, it will be better.

Wow. Everyone was full at the end. My teenager especially remarked he was full so that's a testament.
Because he's gluten free they put his pulled pork in a real bowl and served it to him. The fries had a wonderful flavor and great seasonings....
