We love our weekend trips to Kismet! They always have creative and tasty specials, as well as beautiful flower arrangements to look at while you wait. Literally the best espresso in Cedar Rapids and the friendliest people. We recommend Kismet to everybody we can!

Lovely idea for a shop. Quaint vibe, tasty coffee, pretty flowers. The house pistachio rose syrup was a nice touch.

I drove all night from Nebraska. Kismet was the first place I could find open and close to Czech Village. This place is very atypical, nestled in New Bohemia, in an old house. It’s accommodating, the staff isn’t Seattle trained “baristas” but folks that know the area and their craft. On top of a Cappuccino latte, they offered a water without my asking. Customers stumbled in the early hours and the staff visited, small talk as well as craft devotee minutiae. It’s not to often you run across a place like this by accident or on purpose.

Parking: Ray Charles could find a park spot here.

We were staying at an AirBnB near Kismet and found this absolute gem. Everything is special about the place. Great atmosphere, great - friendly service, great prices, and most of all - great coffee. Definitely stop by if you're in the neighborhood and want a delicious coffee.

I can’t believe how many times I’ve walked by or drove by until I finally went in with a friend. Now it’s one of my favorite coffee stops. How in the world can you actually have good coffee at such a great price!! A picky coffee drinker and this is 1 of 2 stops I do recommend in Cedar Rapids and 1 of 3 from the CR to IC area! You won’t regret it the other two places are cause of conveniency. Atmosphere is great and the people working are absolutely wonderful!

During a recent trip visiting Cedar Rapids for my work, I searched for independent coffee shops and decided to try Kismet based on the reviews. Wow...everyone is SPOT ON about this place! Fantastic coffee, wonderful people working there, beautiful flowers, relaxed & inviting atmosphere...I wish more coffee shops were like this! I'll definitely be back whenever I pass through CR again. (Also, it's in a great neighborhood with plenty of other interesting shops and spots to explore.)

I ordered some last minute flowers from Kismet and chose the Designer’s Spring Choice. It’s always a gamble sending flowers without seeing them first but these were simply gorgeous and conveyed exactly what I was hoping for. I could not have been more pleased!

This place is happiness! I recommend visiting this place for the smell alone! The flowers and coffee….perfect mix! The barista was amazing! Friendly, talkative, helpful….just awesome! Every drink she made was with care AND knowledge. One of the top three coffees I’ve ever had (others are wasatch roasters Ogden, and red coffee San Francisco) I will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

The best quality coffee in CR. Beautifully hand crafted each time. Always a joy to come here and try handcrafted coffees, especially love trying their creative seasonal lattes
