I'm going to sound like a broken record reading the reviews on here, but the older lady at the window is VERY rude. You can tell she's either the owner or simply doesn't care about her job. It's clear from repeated negative reviews for the same thing over the past year that her attitude is of no care and concern to anyone. Sorry, I love supporting small businesses, but the first time going there to experience such rudeness? No thanks.

My husband and I went to Kool moo on June 22 it was the first time we went they I order LG black raspberry shake he ordered a banana split well he was eating it and found out there was no bananas in it .I called and told the girl my order and told her we had no banana in his split all she o am sorry . she could have offed us another one but she didn't .I will not be back

the older lady taking orders was very rude. i came yesterday and ordered a fruity pebble avalanche and it was white (like normal vanilla ice cream) and tasted like normal vanilla ice cream, but when i went and got one today with my boyfriend and it was given to us, it was bright pink and did not taste the same at all and when i went to let the woman know she cut me off before i could even finish explaining so in frustration i went back to my car, my boyfriend convinced me to go get another and see if it was the same he ordered for me first asking what comes in the avalanche and she proceeded to say “it’s just vanilla ice cream and fruity pebbles” while mean mugging him so he bought me another just for it to come out the exact same (bright pink and tasted nothing like vanilla) me and my boyfriend were so frustrated we just decided to leave rather than cause a scene my boyfriend believes that they put their raspberry flavoring in it because the woman told us as rudely as possible (when she cut me off) that they didn’t have strawberry so all in all this woman deserves to lose her job or to not be the one who interacts with customers

This is the 2nd time I come and there is an older lady, and she is very very rude. The 1st time I got a banana split, I said if there was any chocolate I wouldn’t like any. She just said in a very rude annoyed tone “ Ok? What do you want then” and today I go with my 2 siblings and she saw one of them arrive first and gave them a super dirty look and looked me dirty as well. If you come during the summer there are nicer staff, but being at a business treating people like that.. hm.. not sure how you want people to come in while it’s slow. You’re already struggling enough im sure, or maybe not otherwise this lady wouldn’t be treating people so poorly.
The best ice cream in Cedar Rapids/Marion area! Staff is always kind and makes an effort to remember your order, or correct it if made incorrectly. Puppy Chow Avalanche is the BEST!!

We got: A flavor burst cone with watery flavor, granulated frozen yogurt they couldn't serve upright in a cone because of consistency issues so they just dumped it upside down in a cup already melted, and a chalky/granulated pb shake... The added bonus was the rude woman taking our order. ?? Beware that the business isn't always open when Google says it will be and no one answers the phone when you call to double check before driving over. Hard pass!
