La Cantina Bar & Grill

I had such a wonderful experience at La Cantina Bar & Grill! The tacos are absolutely delicious! I ordered Asada, Pastor, and Birria, and to my surprise, the tortillas were freshly made. The flavor and presentation were simply unmatched. I also tried the tres leches cake, which was incredibly tasty.

What really made the visit special was the outstanding service. Since moving to Cedar Rapids, we’ve been exploring many Mexican restaurants, and this one is by far one of my favorites so far! Highly recommended. 🌮🎉

Never been here before. Won’t be back. Stopped in Sunday afternoon. Only a handful of people seated. Looked to be two waiters working. Very very slow service. Margarita may not have had alcohol- it was bad. Food was mid to not great. Don’t order street corn appetizer it’s terrible. Looks cool inside but this place needs help.

No one there. 2 servers. Food was very marginal. The restaurant is nicely decorated. Crossed off the list. 3/10

It has been a long time since I received service as good as I did at la Cantina. I was amazed. Such friendly staff that was attentive. The food and drinks were good also.

They are so slow even when not busy. No way I had to wait 10 minutes for a order that was called in

Service has been terrible. We came while it wasn’t busy on Sunday at noon. My family and I were first given a dirty table thankfully were moved. One of my family members was given a drink she did not order. We had empty glasses lining the edge of the table for a while. Given only a few napkins. The food was okay but pricey and our server was not attentive. All of our menus were faded and hard to read for the older people in my family. This place used to be better and I don’t know if they had a recent change in employment or management but I’m not coming back here and I recommend the same to everyone else. I left very dissatisfied. There’s plenty of other Mexican places in this town to spend money on.

Fun evening with friends and the menu was varied. I was very disappointed with the taco salad. When you think of salad you think of veggies and crunchy. Only lettuce, and it was shredded (which is understandable as it probably comes out of the same big bag of shredded lettuce used for everything.) no tomatoes, onion, black olives, jalapeño nothing other than lettuce and then it had guacamole and refried beans so it was a huge mushy mess. The waiter never came back to ask about the food, so I basically left there hungry! Do not order the Taco salad!

We just left La Cantina in Marion. Had someone take our drink order and bring us chips and salsa with menus. They brought us the wrong drinks and never came back for us to let them know or take our order. After 20 minutes of waiting we left $10 to cover our soda and left. There were only 3 other tables. Not going back.

My fiance and I get Mexican food relatively often, and THIS is the place to be!!! I had a chimichanga, and both of us agreed that it was BEYOND delicious. The service was amazing, the manager checked on us twice, the food was absolutely incredible, and the drinks were balanced and phenomenal. Check em out if you haven't been, and if you've been, go again!
