I used to go to his shop in Columbus junction 20 years ago. This man has been making bomb Mexican food probably longer than most of us have been alive. It's incredible

I have been eating here for the past 10 years and love it! I usually order the steak burrito, which is delicious, especially with their salsa verde on the side. Staff is friendly and helpful. I will continue to come here.

Came in this week and found this spot! They had outstanding fresh food; the chicken tamales were so good! $7-8 plate with a great helping of delicious food, support local!

Yesterday my boyfriend and I had the birria tacos and they were delicious! We have gotten food from here a few times while in newbo and everything we’ve tried has been great! We will definitely be back!

We go here all the time best Mexican in cr. We love their chorizo. They are always very nice and quick. Highly recommend going here.

Very nice people! Food very good. I got the la Reyna tacos (chicken) wife got fish tacos. I was surprised at the beans. Usually just ... beans but these had great flavor. The tacos were awesome too!

I'm in a wheelchair and my daughter was trying to juggle pushing me and holding drinks. She got a drink carrier but the drinks spilled because they had bad lids. She stopped at La Reyna and the girl working was very nice and was going to give her some napkins. Suddenly the owner comes out of the back and asked what was going on. My daughter explained that she needed a few napkins and he said no. It is too bad that his being stingy and not giving her a few napkins earned him this 1 star review and the loss of 2 customers forever. Ugh. Ungracious and cheapskate.

2/24/24 - had lunch at La Reyna. First time trying this booth at NewBo Market. While the person taking my order was nice, the food was very disappointing. I ordered a tamale plate (2 pork tamales with rice and beans). The tamales were so dry I had to cut them with a knife. Unfortunately, the plastic knife didn’t do the trick! Not only was the masa dry, but the pork inside was just as dry. The beans and rice needed seasoning and the whole plate was only room temperature. My husband had a breakfast burrito. He said it was very bland and also only at room temperature. We were both very sorry that this vendor’s food was so poor. We love Mexican food, but this was one experience where we didn’t feel bad about discarding our purchase. ?

The food and the service were terrible! Ordered a burrito without sour cream, and they made it with sour cream. When I asked if the could correct the problem, the owner called me a liar and said I didn’t tell him the order correctly. What an asshole! And the burrito he did give me was mushy and awful!

By far worst Mexican food in town. Twice my family and I have gotten sick. Wanted to give them a second chance and regretted it.

I got the tacos La Reyna. One steak and one Al Pastor. It comes with rice, and a very interesting flavorful bean dish. I forgot to take a picture before I ate the entire meal! It was quite good. I will definitely go back, super friendly place.
