Absolutely awesome place! The decor is a trip and the pizza was delicious. You have to go there for the experience if you're in Cedar Rapids. The only thing better than the atmosphere was falling for my date.

Check it out. It's worth a visit. The food was good. The atmosphere was quirky with a cool retro theme. I will be back.

My husband and I have been going to Leonardo's for over 50 years. We went there for our first date. We have always gotten shrimp pizza. The new owner eliminated from the menu right away. We loved that pizza. We are so disappointed because that was our celebration place. But new is good I guess. But we will not try their food any longer. Saw reviews, enough for us.

Wow. Reviews said good food. Far from it. Walked into the windowless establishment and was shocked at being stuck in the 70s. Booths from the 60/70 timeframe nothing appears to be updated the decor was awful. Food was worse. Ordered pizza and garlic bread. Toast was what we got Texas stale toast with slices of "Parmesan" cheese. Who does that? Pizza was worse. Seemed like a large Totinos or store bought cheap crust. One side was over cooked other was under. Cheese was old and not taste expected. Wow. If you want to get lost and relive the wild 70s swinger state come visit. If you want real food there is a pizza ranch or even Casey's pizza down the road. Better option

Fantastic service, great food, and awesome setting. It's like stepping back in time. The place was packed, and service was still excellent! The food was awesome, and hot!

Lunch, small pepperoni pizza. Thin crust, lots of cheese. Very little sauce..almost none. Staff super efficient, pleasant, checked on customers, & appeared to have a lot of regular customers.

We are from out of town and we had two hours between games to get dinner. We came to this place because of the reviews. It had a fun atmosphere. Once inside, they said it’d be a 30min or so wait before a table or two would be ready. We put our names on the list and I noticed that it was a 45min wait to order pizzas to go. So I placed an online order for 3 pizzas ($89) so that by time we got our table, our food wouldn’t be far behind, thinking outside the box. Well apparently that’s a no no and I was never that until I got a surprise bull. I was then told that I messed up the kitchen because orders are accepted on a first come first serve basis. Not sure how I messed anything up as far as the order because I didn’t cut any lines, just ran the clock concurrently by asking that they serve us the pizza I had ordered online once it was up(leaving it on a pizza pan rather than putting it a box…apparently is asking too much). As a result I was charged $23.38 for ‘open food’ after having ordered/paid for pizza online and was told that was gratuity for messing up their kitchen and was charged an additional $7.55 for gratuity for the pizza that was delivered to the tables. Our party was willing to be split up due to how large we were so we ended up on opposite ends of the restaurant. One table received no follow up service, drinks weren’t refilled and one didn’t even get her first drink when everyone else did, they had to request it multiple times. I initially was going to leave $20 cash on the table for a tip but was brought out another bill with 28% mandatory gratuity regardless of the quality of service, not my idea of good service. I was so confused by the whole process, I put my cash away since they said I had to pay this amount due to messing up the kitchen even though nobody mentioned that when I told them I had ordered pizzas online. The manager came over and said she never came over but she would have told me that I I shouldn’t have been allowed a table since I ordered pizzas to go regardless that we stood for 40min waiting for the tables. Had I been told that up front we could have just taken the pizzas to go but I wasn’t given that option to save the myself $23.38 plus tax. Nothing like open communication. I walked out before paying the second bill with the mandatory gratuity. They called me to tell me if I didn’t come back the server would have to cover the bill, I obviously had no intention on skipping out on that part of the bill, I was just so confused by the whole process, I went back and paid it but needless to say we won’t be back again.
