Sourkrout was good, goulash could have used a bit more meat and maybe a bit more/stronger paprika. Customer service was excellent

We stopped to get some authentic goulash. It was very good, and worth the stop. Other meals purchased were hot beef and a French dip. Loved everything! Great atmosphere too!

Excellent food and service. I would highly recomend.
Awesome food great timeless appeal! Cedar Rapids oldest bar and a great place to eat. Jeff is a wonderful owner/host and Amy is a delight. The tenderloin is classic, smash burgers are amazing. Beverage selection is wide without the high prices! A must visit place in CR and kid friendly.

Just walked out because the guy cooking kept complaining about how busy they were and snapping at the waitress. Also didnt feel super clean
A historic neighborhood bar in the most interesting area of Cedar Rapids. There was good live music and friendly service. Food choices were limited because of the late hour, but the goulash was pretty good.
The goulash, pork tenderloin and kraut salad were out of this world.

This was our first stop in Cedar Rapids and we were glad for it! We were looking forward to the Czech goulash. This place takes a traditional classic and adds a modern twist. They serve it with bread on the side, optional cheese and green onion garnish, and the goulash itself has chunks of carrots and potatoes. It was a hearty and delicious meal. My husband enjoyed his pork dinner with kraut. The staff recommended local sites for us to check out and were attentive throughout our meal. The imported Czech beer was also quite a treat!

Great little bar in the Czech quarter with friendly staff and great tenderloin. Will definitely try the goulash if we're in town again.

The place was not what I call clean. Got a five minute sermon from the server on the dangers of plastic straws for sea turtles, and how they get stuck in their noses. What!? How insulting! Won’t be returning. He did finally bring an unwrapped straw.
I’ve wasted a lot of money in my life, but this was by far the worst $50 I’ve ever spent. The fact that this place has ratings above a 1 tells me that their drinks must be strong. We were visiting from out of town for the holidays and stopped by for a late lunch. Their fried mushrooms tasted like fried sink sponges filled with water, food was microwaved (they don’t even hide it). “Czech goulash” tasted like spaghettios from a local discount food store and a bowl of kraut had a long hair in it right at the top. Very disappointing, the owners must be counting on a drunk crowd to stay open. This place would be a great candidate for Kitchen Nightmares. Gordon would have a field trip.
