Not open till 10, very closed at 8:30 on a Saturday.

The server was super kind; however, the food was not good (and we don't say that often). My husband couldn't even eat his steak and the asparagus and broccoli were very overcooked. The calamari was also rubbery. Typically we don't complain or leave bad reviews, but at $70 a steak, we expected more.

Every year I take my daughter to dinner on Valentine's Day. This year we chose Midtown Reserve for our date. The atmosphere was great. Our server (Megan) was exceptional. Our food (NY Strip and Crab Cakes) was amazing and very well-prepared and well-presented. I believe the prices were also appropriate.

Great service & ambience. Food was good, but not fine dining quality based on price. St Burch, The view in Iowa City .. Capital Grill, Hells Kitchen were better. Lobster was salty, fishy, gave me stomach ache. Risotto was too over the top. My husbands steak was over cooked. Sorry, but wanted to give you the feedback.

Excellent meal and perfect place for a date night. I have several food intolerances and the server was extremely helpful in finding options for me. Would be really nice to have gluten free bread available. Thank you!

New Years Eve Dinner 2023 The Servers were Great!!! We had a party of four all enjoyed their dinner. I think the food and menu was very good like an old time Supper Club but a bit below the price point. I would say the owners are very proud of their business. The atmosphere was fine but not equal to the prices. The music in the dinning room was low enough that we could talk over the music. If you are a person looking for a very nice dinner and don't mind paying the price make a reservation and give this business a try.

I would only recommend this if you’re ready to pay a lot and I mean A LOT. It was very good food but it was off putting that when we looked online to see what pricing was they only showed it was a NYE special and then displayed their regular menu. We got there and it was $150 per person for a 22inch bone in steak with a little bit of potato and asparagus, salad and a dessert. Don’t get me wrong it was delicious but honestly to walk away after tip and pay $355 for two people with NO ALCOHOL on our tab is very disturbing for a nice place in Eastern Iowa. I wish they would have disclosed the NYE menu and pricing before we booked. I tried calling several times but no one would answer— and by the time we got there and saw what were we supposed to do? Cute atmosphere but I’ve been to places in Chicago and NYC and walked away with a very similar fine dining with drinks between $150-250 with tip.

Reservations for NYE and arrived to find only a pre-fixe menu. No mention of this when I reserved a few weeks ago and nothing posted on social media until the day before. Actually they didn’t even tell you what the options were nor did they mention the price. $115 for an 8 oz. Filet, watered down lobster bisque and dessert. Total deception! Many people around us also complained, but where else were you going to dine without a reservation at that point? Don’t need to support this place again.

For my wife and I, our first time eating there. Very attentive waitress , Gabby. Delicious food; pricey - but it was for a great occasion . Glad we layered up because it was a little chilly temperature wise. Bathrooms were freezing - turn the heat on two hours sooner. ?

Cosmopolitans are yummy!! Frites were amazing. Lobster bisque was superb. Steak was fantastic. This was my 3rd visit and has been consistently food every time.

Not worth the money. Ordered the fillet Oscar style. Very little crab and was shredded to bits. Steak itself was under seasoned. The drinks and dessert were the only highlight. But they were pricy.

Dry. Steak. Dry. Sauteed mushrooms. Dry. Even the horseradish was dry. Its like they dont believe in sauces, tender juicy steak, or buttery shrimp. Wine was good, service was excellent but sorry, food was meh.

Food was subpar for the most part. Steak was a great cut but not sure they even salted it. French onion soup tasted as a thick salty au jus. Bacon wrapped asparagus was terrible-as if the bacon went bad. Side salads good portion and ok. Desserts were great as well as the drinks. Server Justin was great! Not worth the cost in the long run IMO.

Food subpar. Disappointing considering the cost. Steak was good quality but poorly seasoned-I'm taking just salt would've help more. Bacon wrapped asparagus was almost if bacon was bad. I couldn't even eat it. Their desserts were good. Drinks also great. Server Justin was good.

Everything was good but just not up to the price point charged. Best item ordered was the Brussel sprouts. French onion soup was way too salty. Steak was very good but lacked char. Mushrooms were small and thinly sliced vs. whole button mushrooms or chunks of baby bells. Again, very good, just not up to what I would expect for the price point.
