I've been in Restaurant Management for over a decade. I've also eaten at some of the finest restaurants in the country through my travels. Cedar Rapids is my hometown and Ik I have a bias for this city. In my 25 years of life I can honestly say this is my favorite restaurant on the planet both from a food and service standpoint. I love everything about this place. I feel like I'm part of the family every time I step in the door. You can't buy that nostalgia...
This is a GREAT small diner. I walked in for brunch by myself and was greeted and seated immediately by the sweetest waitresses. They complimented my perfume and made sure I had everything I needed, even when I was busy texting.
Their house hot sauce is SUPERB, and it seems like it is homemade! I ordered a ham and cheese omelet with hashbrowns and toast, the special for the day. It was delicious. Not too much food either; breakfast foods dont keep very well...

This restaurant closes at 2pm because the chef is the owner and he's that concerned about quality. Always perfect food, friendly service, and SO clean. If you're able to get the Wednesday soup special, the ham and bean is phoenminal - you can taste the smoked ham in every spoon full.
