I can't believe I didn't go here earlier. Food was incredible, atmosphere was incredible, service was incredible. Ethan's enthusiasm about the food and where it was sourced from was a very happy and unexpected touch. This place is great for a date night or a larger celebration. We will definitely be back!

Our favorite spot in Cedar Rapids by far. We love the atmosphere this restaurant provides. Their cocktails and bartenders are the best in the area by far and highly recommend to anyone. You can tell the love and passion they put into the food and we are incredibly sad to lose a place like this later on this year. We will continue to visit Rodina as many times as possible before then, but we wanted to say thank you for helping to elevate the food scene here.
Love this place in every way! Food is always amazing, and service is spectacular. 10/10 every time!

Very interesting menu, local fresh ingredients. Really delicious menu. We came for brunch, I had the French toast with fresh whipped cream, and it was amazing. I also had bites of other’s selections at my table, the ground pork & veal steak, rabbit fries: all of it was delicious. Definitely will be coming back for brunch, and checking out their other menus. If I could give more than 5 stars I would! The atmosphere is so warm and chic. It was pretty quiet when we came in Sunday morning so we enjoyed it not being too loud.
Vegetarian options: Sister in law had the mushroom toast and she loved it!

Can't believe Trip Advisor doesn't have Rodina rated as a top three restaurant in town! I took three friends visiting from NYC to Rodina on a Sunday night (when most restaurants in town are closed). Drinks, starters, main courses, and dessert were all AH MAY ZING! Service was friendly and attentive and the ambiance was super cozy. The menu is seasonal and changes frequently... but favorites of the table were scallop crudo, pappardelle pasta (veg), and fried pear (deep-fried dried pear, cinnamon sugar, cream cheese frosting). Cedar Rapids is truly fortunate to have Rodina as party of our local dining scene... highly recommended!
This place is fantastic. I've been for dinner, dinner and drinks, and just drinks - and it has never, ever disappointed. The chef's tasting menu was so wonderful, with every dish exceeding expectations and the staff helping guide us through delicious dish after delicious dish. They have the best cocktail menu around and the ambiance is warm, inviting, and hard to leave! I can't say enough good things about this restaurant.

I would expect to find Rodina in NYC or Seattle. We're lucky to have such a unique and tasty offering here in Cedar Rapids. I've visited for dinner but most recently brunch. My wife and I split the French Toast and Shakshuka which was a perfect sweet + savory breakfast. The coffee is local from Dash Coffee Roasters, I believe I had 3 cups. The space is warm and the owners kind. We'll be back!
I don't write review frequently, but a dinner at Rodina made me wan to write one. We recently moved to the area after living for close to 20 years in Seattle and having travelled the world. This place would be on to do list anywhere in the world. Our visit was wonderful. Every item we tried was cooked to perfection. The drinks were lovely and throughly enjoyed. The interior pleasant and inviting. The clientele apparently well mannered, maintaining the noise in check even though the place was full. The choice of background music was very tasteful. And of course, the service prompt and very friendly. Highly recommended. Very much looking forward to my many future visits.
This place was heavenly! A few of my co-workers/friends and I went. We all enjoyed our food and atmosphere very much! The waiter was also so kind and fun. I love to ask the waiter to bring me anything in the menu that is spicy and he played along!
We dined here for the first time for dinner and this now ranks as one of our top two restaurants in Cedar Rapids, along with Cobble Hill. Atmosphere is upscale-casual - very relaxing. Drinks were excellent - a great selection of classic and inventive cocktails. Food was terrific. The three of us shared an assortment of small and large plates, from pork belly to burrata to scallops. So good. Oh, and their raw Maine oysters happened to be on a $1.50 special, so we did a dozen of those - wow! Service was absolutely amazing - Mia was fun, friendly and attentive. We'll definitely be going back.
Good: Delicious drinks, great deals for happy hour. Appetizers. Staff is awesome and servers are great. Good service.Bad: This is the second time I visited Rodina and the second time I was very disappointed by the main course. I ordered a pasta with wild boar sauce dish (forgot the name) which was so extremely salty I have no idea how anyone can serve it. I mentioned that to the server, she said she will mention it to the chef and that is all they did about it. Pretty dissatisfied with that part, but at least the appetizers and drinks were delicious.Everybody else in our party were satisfied with the food, so it's a hit or miss. I would come back for happy hour and appetizers, but never again for dinner.
