If you know what homemade bread tastes like. This is the bakery to go to! I have not tried everything because the selection is so huge, but for what I have had it is scrumptious! If my Nana were still alive (she'd be close to 150yrs old.) I had her bread baked in an oven warmed by fire. This is what I am comparing Rustic Hearth Bakery products to! I had not had real bread for decades until they moved into my neighborhood. I think the bread is a little expensive but, Special Times call for Special Food. I get my very special bread only at Rustic Hearth. You. Walk through the door and you smell homemade bread. I thank them for bring delicious, bread to Cedar Rapids. I can only compare it to my Grandmothers.

I went to the Rustic Hearth because I heard they had very good sourdough bread. I bought a loaf of the Rustic Sourdough, and it truly was the very best sourdough bread I have ever had. I will definitely go back for more.

I’ve never been disappointed when I’ve stopped by Rustic Hearth! Always delicious, high quality bakery offerings. I love their Monkey Muffins, in particular :)

Lovely place! I had a gift card in my wallet for a year. Just hadn't been able to get myself over there. But today I made it my mission and I was rewarded! Challah bread and sourdough! Plus I had $2 left on the gift card and there just happened to be sugar cookies with sprinkles for... $2! Sorry no pictures of the cookie. That didn't hardly make it out of the store. I was in a bit of a hurry so I didn't get any inside pictures either. It's a pretty store inside. It used to be the little French restaurant. I don't remember seeing sit down area. There might be. If there isn't that would be a nice addition. The bread tastes wonderful. I got the last Challah from Passover and Easter weekend.Note they only take tips in cash so bring a little. I didn't know that so I'll have to go back. Rats... :)

Great customer service and delicious pastries. One of the only places in CR to get good savory pastries that aren't just scones.

If you don't mind paying $7.50 for a loaf of bread you know nothing about, have at it with this. I picked up a loaf of sliced dark bread, asked the clerk if it had cinnamon and raisins in it and was told no. All the label said was Rustic Hearth with some scribbled handwriting that was illegible. Got it home thinking it would be nice sandwich and toasting bread. NOT AT ALL. Guess what, it's nuts and seeds, cinnamon and raisins! A huge loaf my husband refuses to use with that stuff in there, it ruins his breakfast. So I'm slowly eating on it. It doesn't make great toast. I don't want raisins in my meat sandwich. It's going to take me FOREVER to use it all up. So if you think you don't need to appeal to new customers, keep on trucking. I do not understand why there is no label of contents, your identifying labels should be printed with more than your business name. I'll check at my store another day and see if there are any improvements in labeling and if not the state authorities will be paying you an unannounced visit. What it anyone with a nut allergy got ahold of this "breakfast read?"

I just was in neighborhood & been meat to see it myself.I was pleased to know that has coffee and ice coffee. It had the most astounding affect on me. It was dark and in theme with it's general store old hut type hobbit feel or something. I was given the impression by only my own judgement that it was not so much a lounge establishment.I would most definitely be back. Coffee was second to none

My first time visiting Rustic Hearth, so I'm only reviewing what I purchased which was a loaf of Multigrain bread and a cinnamon roll. The cinnamon roll was just okay in my opinion. I've had better tasting icing and cinnamon. But, since I'm a carb-oholic I ate the whole darn thing. The bread, however, was some of the best I've had. Highly addictive and great for making avocado toast!! I found the service to be very welcoming and I give Rustic Hearth 2 thumbs up
