The food lives up to it's reputation. Our waitress was awesome. We had the fish and chips this evening. It was great. Everything that came out of the kitchen looked delicious! We will be back.
Lydia, our server was fantastic! What a great neighborhood place. Their happy hour is 3 to 6 every day. The dipper potato fries are something very different and delicious. The fish was OK. Will definitely be back to try more menu items. House made pickles crunchy with a sweet tang.

Food was exceptional, but it was super hot inside and hard to have a conversation. Amazing food all around though!

In my quest for a great burger, I stumbled onto The Sacred Cow Tavern. The Backwoods burger didn't disappoint. Juicy and nicely seasoned. Will definitely go back.

My husband and I go to Sacred Cow at least weekly. We enjoy the food and the vibe generally. We seldom have the same wait staff, but until recently they’ve all been friendly. I decided to share our experience with my brother and sister in law over what I had hoped would be a very special occasion. I guess I wanted to introduce them to our place as it were. We had a miserable experience with our waitress. She was inattentive , sullen, irritable. For instance, we asked for glasses for beer, but never got them. We had to flag her down for additional drinks. She was very rude. Her non verbals were evident. It was a Sunday evening and slow, so I knew we weren’t taxing her. I felt so embarrassed in front of our company because I bragged about the place. Clearly my company wasn’t impressed. I didn’t summons a manager because we all left together and I didn’t want to embarrass my family further. Tonight we stopped again and I saw said waitress. I asked her over to our table and told her about our bad experience. I did use a cuss word, I’ll be honest, because I was angry that a special occasion had been ruined. We left but were accosted by the manager on the sidewalk outside of the restaurant. She banned us from coming back. Because I exercised my right to complain. Her excuse for the poor behavior for this waitress was that she was young. I guess youth is exempt. We spent a lot of money the day we had our dinner there …and are generous every time we eat there, but we will find another watering hole. One where we can expect decent service at. So much for exercising our right to object to rudeness. When a young person has a bad day, we’re supposed to accept the behavior…lesson learned. With so many places closing, Sacred Cow might want to use these opportunities as teaching moments instead of banishment.

Stopped here for dinner before a show downtown. We arrived about 6 on a Friday Night and it was not too busy, we didn't have to wait. The food was pretty good. I had the brisket sandwich and fries. The sandwich was delicious but difficult to eat. The texas toast bread was unable to contain the juicy brisket and the whole thing kind of fell apart on me. The fries are good for dipping. They are like a really thick chip, or a really wide steak fry. I highly recommend getting some form of scarce to dip them in, they are a bit much to handle plain. Service was just ok. After our food was delivered we kind of got ignored until the check came. Drinks never got refilled. The atmosphere is not bad, but VERY loud and TV's everywhere. Not my favorite type of feel.

What a hidden gem this place is. Sacred Cow literally RAISES the bar - Pun intended. Food is so good! Flavor only trumped by portion size. These "Fun not Fancy" folks are seriously light years ahead of everyone else around here. I have yet to visit a place that doesn't knock my socks off. Thank you Sacred Cow for another homerun.

Servers are always great, food is AMAZING. The pretzel salad with chicken and honey mustard dressing is truly one of my favorite foods in the world. They have a cute patio area out back as well that’s dog friendly!
