Boring Barbeque Joint, nothing special. Burnt ends were cold and bland, 8 or so different sauses available but none of them were very good.Points for having an off-brand soda fountain, that was a nice touch to help the atmosphere, and the jalepenos hush puppies were nice and crunchy with plenty of flavor.

Food prices didn't match up with the food quality. Brisket and turkey sandwiches were completely dry had no flavor besides the sauce we added to the sandwiches. Up in smoke will forever have my money in the future.

Cold soggy fries. No body eating at 6:30. Should have known it wasn't good. Complained .They made fresh fries. Hot but too heavy on the seasoning. Could not eat them . Expensive and you don't get much. Three little slices of brisket. The help seemed to be having fun. Will not be back.

I've ordered food from Sugarfire approximately 5 to 10 times in the past and unfortunately this will be the last time. Typically their food is pretty decent and I've always enjoyed it because it's different. They have daily specials and I do enjoy their food. I wouldn't classify their food as fast food but also having to wait 5 minutes to me is not a big deal. Today I ordered their daily special which was pulled pork, aA couple slices of cheese, some barbecue sauce on a bun and fries. I ordered my food at 6:30 p.m. and there was one car in the parking lot. At approximately 6:42 p.m. I knocked on the drive-thru window asking where my food was because it typically does not take that long to get food there. The individual who responded to the window gave me a poor facial expression and said in the schneid comment " we are not a fast food restaurant." I responded in a calm voice that I understood that but typically I don't have to wait 10 to 15 minutes to get food. The individual then responded. They were making me fresh fries but then abruptly close the window and provided me with my bag of food. The fries had been off the warmer for quite some time based on the temperature and condition.TLDR. Pretty decent food at decent prices but piss poor service.

Excellent service, tasty BBQ with your choice of sauces. It’s a very unique location in a former bank (tricky to find!!!) Very reasonable prices, huge portions.

Sugar fire is a great location with Great BBQ as well as other options. They support the community. They have a cool inside that is well decorated and has some neat items. They are always having new specials daily and all their sides are really good. I was surprised of how good their bbq was . I will gladly go back to this location.

Dang I wish I didn’t give this two stars but we have come here many times and something is always wrong. This time we got carry out (for enough for 4) and everything was just “ok” the girls or guys helping us forgot the BBQ sauce which they promised they would get some tubs of sauce. The portions were SO SMALL. The coleslaw was enough for a toddler, meat portions were very small and very cold, everything just wasn’t what it was the first time we went. Seems like the staff does not care as much about ensuring everything is there.
I went to the drive through and got a half rack of ribs and 4oz of turkey for a little under $30. Both were very dry. The smokey flavor was there, but it didn't make up for how tough it was to eat. Kind of a bummer.

Don't order the sausage, it isn't smoked, and more like a hot dog. The potato salad is bland and for some reason there is celery in the baked beans. The turkey and pulled pork wasn't bad.

We had them catering for a small 15-20 person event. They were not able to deliver so we had to pick it up which was a huge inconvenience in our day. They were short staffed so I could somewhat understand, but then we didn’t get any of the sauces for our meat! We had to end up running to Hy-Vee to get the bbq sauce. Also the have terrible potatoes salad and coleslaw. It’s to bad that we ordered so much that we had to waste it. No one at our event liked it. However the meat was good but since everything else was a disappointment, I recommend finding a different place to order from. Not happy with this for how expensive it was.

The brisket sandwich and The Big Muddy sandwich were delicious! The pork belly hush puppies were my favorite part of our meal. The coleslaw was on point. The waitress was kind. The bathroom was clean. The different BBQ sauces were all good. We will absolutely be returning!
Potato salad was bland could use some flavor . Couple more pieces of meat for the price, and honey to be used other then honey butter which wouldn't be good for people with high cholesterol. Music could help the atmosphere. Seen one person didn't seem they wanted to be there. Loved the sauces, the different sodas and desserts. Brisket and turkey was smoke to perfection .Wheelchair accessibility: You can get in but you would have to have someone open the door. Not much room to move around with a wheel chair.
