The folks on the SW side just fire off missile after missile out of that kitchen. Found this new dish tonight. Spicy Sesame Cold Noodles. Unreal. Tried the Shanghai Sytle Spring rolls for the first time. Couple of mini tomahawks showed up in that wax paper bag. I mean I’m over here looking at a maki roll with pieces of tuna so big it looks like they wrapped a roll of nickels in rice and nori. Their level of quality is has gotten so high I’m not sure they’re capable of making a mistake alone a bad dish.

The food is always great here. Just a really super solid restaurant
Amazing food, have been going for forever!! Would highly recommend Crispy Ginger Beef for entrees and Salmon Skin for Sushi!!
My family of three arrived around 2:00 PM. From the moment we walked in, the lady at the door acted as if she didn't want to be there at all—super cold and unwelcoming. We were seated at the worst table right by the entrance. I stood there holding my child for 5 minutes, yet no one offered a high chair. After we finally got one, we waited another 10 minutes without even being served a glass of water. We were starving, and the restaurant wasn't even busy. What a 'magical' (and by that, I mean terrible) experience. Go if you want, but I'm never coming back.

Today I went to the restaurant. I arrived at 7:00, and after a while, the staff told me to sit at a table at 7:30. I ordered my food and waited until 8:00. Then a staff member came out and told me to wait another 15 minutes for my food. I waited until 8:25 and still didn't see anything. I looked over at the table next to me, and the food had already arrived, which looked like dinner (sushi). I think the staff did something wrong and I'm very angry. I hope the staff will be responsible and not judge me based on the fact that I'm Vietnamese and discriminate against me.
Service was excellent. Food was excellent. I would recommend the Fire Dragon Roll and the Spicy Salmon Roll.

The sashimi was very fresh, and the presentation on the boat was beautiful! This is an Asian restaurant I frequent; it's been around for a long time. My family used to bring me here often, and now I often bring my own family here. The food is consistently delicious!

I live in New York and came here to visit family. There are many famous Japanese restaurants in New York, but there are very few here. However, I finally found one! Your Japanese food is not only visually appealing but also incredibly delicious! And the service is excellent! I highly recommend their Japanese cuisine!

As a former Public Health Disease Investigator, admittedly I view most food establishments through a different lens. I had no way to prepare for what I anticipated to be an enjoyable lunch with my preteen daughter.
I’ve always gotten a bad vibe from the “Greeter/Hostess,” she’s always had a rather unpleasant demeanor when we’ve visited SH. Real bad tendency to try seating us right at the entrance, even when I’ve requested to be seated in a back booth so my back is against a wall. Yesterday was no different, she kinda fought me on my seating preference but relented.
Once seated, our server was kind. Provided us with menus; there were old straws in the main menus…I turned a blind eye…we came specifically for the special roll menu. The server brought us laminated menus and a dry erase marker to place the order I assume. We realized this food cover laminated menu was no different than the menu booklet. After realizing her error, she brought us their specialty menu.
We ordered the the Snow White roll, 2018, Angry Dragon, Iowa roll, and the Cedar Rapids roll.
Our server brought out our drinks; my daughter ordered a lemonade, I had water. Shortly thereafter, we were brought our plates and chopsticks as our rolls were being prepared. As my daughter and I talked about whatever, I noticed something moving out the corner of my eye. A frickin roach!
I immediately got the servers attention. I didn’t scream or cause a scene. I discretely brought the roach to her attention; the thing crawled out the chopstick sleeve and was crawling all over the plate at this point. The server took both sets of chopsticks, balancing the bug and discarded it outside our view. She returned with chopsticks; not certain if these were the same two or two new sets. Didn’t mater to me. She eft behind the plate the critter had dragged its filthy body ll across. The server said “I’m so sorry about that. Your food should be out shortly.” I insisted they cancel our order; the server responded assuring me our rolls we just about done and would be out in moments. I said “Sweetheart, that was a roach. I cannot in good conscience eat anything out of your kitchen. That is a public health hazard. Cancel the order. We’re leaving.”
This server told me she would need to talk to her manager because they’d already started making the order. Perplexed, I sat there, nearly amused because the decision wasn’t up to them but I wanted to see what type of authority they THOUGHT they had in the situation. I watched as the server told the bitter face Hostess who struggled to be civil or kind; the two walk over to the sushi chefs who al huddle up looking at the two women then looking over at me, trying to read my demeanor but also seemed to be trying to conceal their critter harm at the same time. The server returns to our table, “my supervisor said they’d cancel the order even though they’d nearly made each roll you ordered. It was nearly a $90 order but she said you just need to pay for your drinks in cash.” I felt a knee jerk reaction to pipe up, pay for a lemonade? Seriously? I could’ve walked out, I could’ve screamed and caused a scene, but no. I was discreet, not being performative but I truly do not carry on like a clown. So okay…I’ll pay the $3.16 for my daughter’s lemonade that she did not drink. I just wanted out of there. We headed to the front counter, gave them a $5 and we left.
So many people in my life couldn’t believe I didn’t share this experience yesterday; I was drained from the audacity and disrespect honestly. I am now on the prowl for a need sushi spot because Sushi House has roaches. And as a former Public Health Investigator, there’s no such thing as one roach, just so you know
